Don't see why everyone is head-over-heels about this. I watched the vids and he hardly hurt the cat. He didn't even hit it against the wall as people claim, he pushed it against the wall and held it there from what I could see.

As for the cat's noises, a lot of cats sound different. for example, my cat sounds almost exactly like that while in heat.

Right, but I still can't help but roll my eyes at situational preferential animal treatment (Oh, but it's so cute!). I choose to use the spider gag, but substitute in a skunk, mole, seagull, or other offensive animal if you choose.

I've found that many people are very hypocritical with their 'animal respect'. I think one of the more famous examples in recent memory is the 'Save the dolphins, but fuck the tuna!' retort people used to throw at PITA. Then, all of a sudden, PITA started campaigning for tuna too. Complete idiocy at it's finest.

I would argue that the cat is a pet, and therefore it is the responsibility of the person that took on the mantle of "owner" to treat it properly. People kill moles/skunks/rats all the time for them being on their property; I know people who set traps for stray cats to turn them in to the animal shelter for disposal.

There's a difference here, and I can't help but think you're just arguing to have something to say. Anyone with half a brain can clearly see that this is wrong, and not just because "aw, cats are cute."

Why is there even an outrage in this thread? The only hint of abuse in the video's whatsoever was when it was thrust into the wall the hits against the cat were for the most part playful or just completely missed the cat hitting the ground which u may not have noticed because you were too busy listening to his annoying prepubescent noises and shouts, and as for saying anything about getting the cat wet is abuse because the cat cried out is just retarded i mean fuck have you never tried to wash a pet that dislikes water? Seen skinnings of dogs first hand in china when i visited but which kind of upset me but not nearly as much as a video i once stumbled on of a dog sleeping next to a soda machine with his leash tied up to it while his owner went into the store, then 2 14 yr olds walk up with a skateboard and repeatedly bash it in the head and you see its limbs go limp and it get confused and fall over as the kids walk away laughing. So apparently the kid was identified by Anonymous and the police and his parents were contacted. He was taken into custody then released to his parents and is due for court.

The cat "Dusty" is safe at a pet rescue shelter.
