Diabolos's Pole for Aspir?

And FWIW, my dark skill as WHM/SCH under dark arts with gear is 268 (no merits).

Mine is only 261 under Dark Arts with gear. I'm interested in what gear you are using. I'm missing Abyssal Earring (Chose Suppa for my WAR so this isn't an option) and I still have yet to get Merciful Cape for an extra +5 skill. That would take me to 266 and I'm using all the other skill gear I can get that isn't weather/day orientated. (i.e. Dark Torque, Dark Earring, Nashira Manteel). Where the other +2 come from?

very rare for me to aspir under 110, with 140-180 being the most common. All I lack is nashira manteel, abyssal, & merits.

You look pretty good to go with diabolos Eldelphia, but I'd say 261 is too low Darwinian. Plutos would most likely net better returns for you.

The only differences for skill are that I use both a Merciful and Abyssal, but I don't use a dark earring.

Diabolos does not enhance accuracy. This has been tested by myself as blm, another 2 friends on blm, 2 rdms, & a drk. The drk routinely nailed higher drains & aspirs as well as a higher average at the beginning while the rdms blew compared to plutos. This was until we eventually gained very good dark magic/M.Acc. builds at which point diabolos began to always outperform/outparse plutos for all 5, and at which point my fellow blm (Goso)broke the aspir hard cap for the first time causing quite a discussion on these boards.

If you choose not to belive, so be it and test for yourself.

That's funny, because rereading those old threads, what you just said is not consistent with Goso's claims at the time. Never mind that 90% of what's posted in those threads is hearsay or outright BS to begin with. There are still no published, controlled tests, so you have no basis for making a claim one way or the other regarding accuracy.

Read through the whole of both threads. Goso's comparison claims at the start were backwards. When we began we were generally pretty drunk in dynamis so this is understandable, but continued usage over the last year+ has shown to us what Ive already said, though I really dont care whether you believe me or not as I was simply trying to help the other poster.
Fact, however: Using diabolos does allow you to break the accepted established hard cap on aspir with plutos, yet on the other hand most people find diabolos lacking in consistent numbers. That is inarguable and in itself strongly suggests no, or at least lower accuracy than plutos.

Diabolos did indeed produce more inconsistent numbers compared to plutos (lower lows/higher highs and screwy averages) for us until breakin 310 dark skill with several magic accuracy pieces, when it began to consistently yield better numbers than plutos, again suggesting little to no accuracy on it.

In the end, all I meant to do was answer Darwinians original question on whether or not it would be worth it for him to get this pole, to which the answer would be no. The rest of the information was just to explain why.
