PS3 HD cable?

When I bought my ps3 last year I didn't notice any cord or something for it to be in HD and I personally didn't mind it until now when last week I got my 360 back from repairs. Games on the 360 even look better than killzone 2 demo...or am I just stupid about this matter? I've tried changing the resolution and such but it's stuck on 480i and it should be on 1080i.

If you're using the composite cables that came with your PS3, 480i is all that you're going to get. Get component cables (up to 1080i) or an HDMI cable (1080p) and then you'll be set.

Alright that was the answer I was looking for thank you. I don't play my ps3 that much but I recently found out, thanks to the killzone 2 demo, that something wasn't right in the quality.

All HDMI cables are essentially the same as well. There's no discernible difference between a $6 cable and a $50 cable. Monoprice is great since most stores jack up the prices on cables.

My god, I wouldn't be able to play my ps3 at 480i. Play MGS4 in all its glory and there is no way you could say 360 looks better.

Well I played and beat it at 480i lol but I'm going to go for a 2nd play through once I get this cable.

I promise you, the game will look a lot better. I normally play most my games on split screen, so I can watch T.V while I am playing. I recently went back to play MGS4, I haven't played it in a few weeks because I went on a binge of it and beat it 23 times in a row.

So I finally put it on full screen and was honestly in shock, playing it like it was my first time again. The game is just beautiful. Especially when you have the stealth suit and you can get up close to people and can see how detailed they are.

I am one of those people that spent like $150 on their HD cables. I know there really isn't a difference, but am all about spending a shit load on things with hopes of it being just that much better.

Hahaha I need to pay more attention to simple things. I got the idea to look for the HDMI cable that came with my 360 and I decided to put it on the ps3 and there we go...fucking HD motorstorm and shit. Ugh but yeah thanks for the help regardless I'll buy a backup in case something were to happen to this cable.

yeah... I too didnt even notice the cables that came with the PS3 werent for HD until resistance 2 told me. I still havnt gotton around to buying one yet though. not much time for games currently.
