for rdms don't forget that AFv2 hat > anything other head piece for resting, assuming you have +1 hmp more than yigit in the body/hands/feet category.

even if your slightly lower than the 11.33, i still wouldnt get yigit
because thats massive AP that i can use for salvage
yigit is good in that it doubles as stoneskin gear as well as hMP gear. I also use it in idle macros because of the hp/mp/evasion/-enmity.
Yigit is also storable so once your done using it on your job just store it away.
Also as a blm the feet and head are good for exp nukes (till you get better gear) while the hand/head/feet are nice mnd pieces for SS as well. (head can double as a -enm and mnd piece for sch and whm)
If only RDM could use Oracle's Gear...
Hands would be sex.
blm max is +39, they can't wear mirror tiara. smn and whm max is +40.
i have a +39 build on smn, just missing oracles robe. some of the gear just really isn't worth the effort to most normal players. fuck paying 2 mil for +1 hmp on a ring.
For sandorian and Bastok citizen, a Nation Mace (HMP +7) and a Legion Scutum shield (HMP +5) will beat the pluto's Staff.
Windurstian get to keep the staff though ... we need an hmp grip![]()

As much as I'd love to go out and spend hours of playtime that I don't have getting Oracle's items, when I have to switch back and forth from WHM ---> BLM ---> RDM ---> BRD ---> WHM all in the course of one night, I find that just having the yigit set on me full time ends up saving me a lot of grief. Inventory is super tight when you actually have that many functional jobs, and each of the yigit pieces has the ability to substitute for something that you might otherwise have muled/stored. Or, say, forget to grab out of the mog safe cause you're 79/80 everywhere and only have 5 minutes because OMG TIMMEH'S UP!
(eg. I almost never play brd so my real gear is muled, but if somebody needs a pure ballad bitch/backup healer, my yigit body makes me almost functional. Yigit head is useful for whm, feet for rdm since goliard won't drop for me, hands if I forget to pick up zenith/devotee's/wtvr after I've been on whm, etc.)
Of course, if your only mage job is BLM...why did you get yigit again?
But if you've got 4+ of the jobs that can wear yigit, and you use them all, the +hmp of the other possible pieces in those slots is almost just not worth the loss of inventory space. Call me gimp, but admit I'm a practical gimp. >.>
What would you consider a better nuking piece than Yigit feet, other than full Morrigan's? I have Goliard Clogs, but I only use those on more resistant stuff.
I got full Yigit a long time ago, before Salvage even came out. I did assault as much as I could since the day it came out, cleared the new stuff as soon as it was released, didn't really sell much, etc. It was hardly a burden. For the longest time, it was what I used to idle in on BRD to get Refresh (we don't do kings).
So...I have full Yigit. I need the body for BRD, the feet (nukes) and hands (stoneskin) for BLM, so I won't really be storing it that often. I'm on my way to a better resting set (Goliard hat and feet, need Oracle's hands). I suppose I could just rest in full Yigit for a few ticks, or for short periods, then swap in the better pieces for longer resting.
I might even just be happy with resting in full Yigit period, but I use Goliard hat for BRD and BLM stoneskin, and the feet for BRD debuffs/SS and BLM stoneskin/resisty nukes. I'd use Oracle's hands for BLM enfeebling too, so they'd all be for more than just resting.
Durr whoops, somehow I was imagining they had M.acc +5 on them, not enfeebling +5.
If you had full morrigans set then yes the feet would be better unless you somehow managed to get zenith mitts+1 with genie weskit. (for mab purposes) Shit is situational.
Just looking your job list of BRD,BST,COR,WHM,NIN,THF,DNC,WAR,BLM
you would probably store the set when on BRD*,BST,COR,NIN,THF,DNC,WAR so only 3 jobs use it. *(note if the only thing you relly use the set for is -song casting you could get either get shiar mantle or marduk if you wanted to) If you hope jobs around fairly often being able to store and pick up a hmp set thats one of the better sets around is convenient. Anyways the point i was trying to make is that the more jobs you have (and gear for jobs) the more convenient it becomes to store a hmp set for multiple jobs that can use it.
Oracles beats Yigit.
If the Fast Cast from Rostrum Pumps provides 2% cast time reduction, and Yigit Gomlek is 10% (or 9.8% or whatever it really is), that should still beat the 4% body + 5% set bonus of full Marduk. It's a small difference, but sadly, so is almost every performance increase for BRD. It would seem to me a bit silly to bother having a Loquacious Earring and Minstrel's Ring and then not use the faster setup that I already have. I guess this doesn't extend to dropping 4m on a manteel to use over Yigit Gomlek, but it would make me keep the Yigit set out of storage on BRD.
Edit: Would there be some benefit to resting in full Yigit initially, then swapping to a higher hMP set later? If so, how much later? If it's the first tick, of course, I may as well just start resting in my idle body. Assume Goliard hat, Yigit legs, Yigit body, Goliard feet, and Oracle's Gloves for the higher hMP set.
I was just pointing out that there other options for -spell casting on body other then yigit.
As for yigit excelling let us consider a case where you have 4 more hmp then yigit prior to including auto refresh. autorefresh would be 20 mp a minute always> the first minute of +4 hmp would be 16 mp then 24 mp per minute. this means at exactly 2 mintues after resting if you had 4 more hmp then the bare yigit set with auto refresh included you would get more mp. Anything less the full set would be better to use. To be quite relistic you problably shouldnt need more then 2 minutes to restore over 1k mp.
example:
at worst case of sch or whm with Clear mind 4 and yigit with 16 more hmp thats:
8(set)+16 (rest)+24 (base). You get 2 more mp per tic and in 2 minutes that 10 tics.
so that 40 mp (auto refresh)+(48*10)+(0+2+4+6+8+10+12+14+16+18 )=
90 (additional per tic on CM 4)+40+480=610 mp rested up
Mind you this is without any other additional mp restoring effects and a minimum effort you could do. (2 neck 2 waist 2 ears 10 staff)
If yo considered clearmind 5 (same set up the rest) its
40+480+(0+3+6+9+12+15+18+21+24+27)=655 mp rested up
if yo considered a constand 3 mp a tic buff thats another additional 120 mp.
that puts you at 730 mp with CM 4 and 775 mp CM5 in 2 minutes.
Anyways short answer is yigit is Superior for certain situations.
This happens to be 2 minutes or less resting with 12 hmp or less between head/body/hands/legs/feet. For anything of a extended rest period over 2 mintues then yigit is inferior to a set with 12 hmp or greater between head/body/hand/leg/feet.
All said the only practical time to rest more then 2 minutes at a time is right before a event starts or after a event imo.
edit to equal yigit in 1 minute you need to have 13 hmp total between head/body/hand/leg/feet
rdm this is done with chapeu+6 body+3 feet
whm/blm/smn this is done using mostly znm and wotg gear gear. (oracles set etc)
