You going to make that case for Eli Manning, who largely sucked in the regular season and stepped up and won when it counted...or did he ride the coattail of his defense and a marvelous running attack?

Ben was a rookie when he got put on one of the best teams in recent history. Dilfer and Johnson were 29/34 when they got the chance on that quality of team.

Johnson had a 92.9 passer rating the year he won, with over 3k yards and a 22-6 td/int ratio, and threw for 3800 yards the next.


Brad Johnson at his best was a better QB than Ben Roethlisburger will ever imagine being.

Physical tools hell yeah, he has the stronger, more accurate arm.


Overall... it depends on what you want from your qb. If you want an uberdilfer, Ben's your guy. If you want the guy that can make every throw and about 20 more, Eli's the way to go, provided you can deal with the mistakes.


But really, if we're considering everything, in terms of "who do I want if I'm building a team right now," you have to take a serious look at Matt Ryan... and you're going to put some thought into Flacco, at least.
