Yeah. Demos nailed it. Being a dude would help, but other than that, check out different sports websites like espn.com, nfl.com, etc.
A big dose of the people we talk about in here are just like the same 10 dudes who have all degenerated to inside jokes anyway. For example, I didn't know who the fuck Harry Douglas, Kemoeatu, or Derrick Burgess are, outside of the context of the posts they were in the past 2 pages.
first name to learn: devin thomas
Yeah, after the first page or so of people posting their long winded picks for the week that most people don't read, the threads usually turn into Miz trolling cowboy fans, and vince young burning. The best though is when someone who doesn't post very often comes in and makes a post about why his team is going to dominate, and when they get owned, its amazing. This one comes to mind...
Thats where the whole "Delhomme is clutch" thing started from, and it was awesome.
Pacman Jones is a good player to read up on too if you want to talk about football players, true american hero.
belle just read my posts, you'll be a professional level expert in no time
Whatever happened to that "Delhomme is Clutch" guy anyway?
we are to be posting our weekly picks on senoska's blog www.itouchlolichildren.blogspot.com
totally clicked that and was going to bookmark...
We can have the weekly threads, but tyche has to lock them when he makes a new one, which is understandable. Also we were supposed to keep the spam type posting to a min, but somehow I doubt that will be enforced that harshly based on some of the posts in this thread. (see page 90)
Plow I can't read 106 pages of football spam :'(. This is like man homework. Someone bring me a fucking beer.
doh
Honestly even if you read all 106 pages, all you'll learn is that Miz is a massive troll and that the Football people have a lot of our own meme's. Suppose you'd also learn that Tyr sucks at FFL too.
Read ESPN and NFL.com, but mostly I'd say just watch ESPN when the football shows are on, or NFL Network if you have it. The websites are nice but just watching the recaps of all the games on ESPN is probably the best since it is the most basic. I really think Fantasy Football teaches you about football the fastest out of anything, but I doubt you want to put in the effort for that.
Best way to learn about players is to play in a FFL imo. It forces you to keep track of all of that jazz (or you can simply fail).
I honestly cant believe you guys reccomend ESPN as a good source of learning, they troll the fuck out of people more so than miz. Fuck brett farve has been trolling us for the last 3 years. I would say read all the sites they shared tho, all good sources, but often times if you dont know any better Mark Schlerith(sp) (esp analyst) will troll the fuck out of you with his fantastic views of todays football players just because he blocked for one of the best QB's ever.
Added an epic pick for the Miz.
