For real man. I wouldnt retire shit, as a matter of fact I'd give that shit to Mr. Irrelevant and let him wear it to Disney world and during his parades and shit. The NFL should change all ball boy jerseys to #4 just to be a huge dick like Favre continues to be.

Although that is a nice incentive, Dallas just isn't in the cards for me. As horrible as Clutch is he's won multiple playoff games since 1996 unlike a franchise to be named later.

Vikings fan hate Favre til he throws for 3TDs and 350 yards against the bears or packers. Or when he goes into Lambeu and wins.

And the Packers have already voted (they don't have a single owner, they have shareholders), and it was overwhelmingly in favor of retiring his jersey. This was a month or two ago. The guy made that team more money than you or I could imagine. He deserves to have it retired.

I bet he's in great shape following missing the entire offseason workouts and training camp.

I love the idea that he'll have such intimate knowledge of the Packers...except that we completely revamped our defense.

Gotcha. All I remembered from last season was the possible lulz of Favre playing as a Viking, in Lambo, on Monday night, for the proposed date of the jersey retiring ceremony.

I remember cheering hard for such lulz then the bastard signed for the Jets...

Do you have a source for that? I can only find links that say they "plan to do it, but do not know when, and not this year." I can't find anything about a vote.

Completely revamped in terms of scheme? You guys didn't really do any moves except draft BJ Raji. Does moving to a 3-4 and playing Kampman at OLB means "completely revamped?"

I used to be a Favre fan, till I started paying attention to just how many costly mistakes he made. Then it got worse as he became a glorified white version of Terrell Owens...I love Aaron Rodgers, and despite being a Vikings fan, am so happy he played so well. He just needs to get more Ws...

Heard it on the radio a couple of months ago (Erik Kusselius). Looked for link, and all I could find was regarding the shareholders meeting, which is probably the same link you're reading. So, I don't know where the story came from, but that's what was reported.

hahahaha -- are we the only 2 vikings fans? I actually like Sage =( Our line >> Texans line. Granted, we don't have anyone near Andre Johnson, but we do have Adrian.

i'd like to report that brett favre is an annoying fag. but if he tears it up it will be cool as hell. w/ paterson, taylor, and harvin all viable options out of the backfield and in the short game, he should have to do too much gun slinging. that box is gonna be hella stacked too so there shouldnt be a center fielder there to pick off his ducks

    More genius from Simmons:

Next steps for Favre: Admit he hates cheese curds & dark beer; call Laverne & Shirley "ugly and not funny"; sucker-punch Alice Cooper.

To be honest? I find Favre to be a really big upgrade and Viking fans should be excited. The Vikings are a HUGE fucking upgrade over the Jets, and look when he did with the Jets last year? Yeah, he crumbled over the last five or six games due to that shoulder, but if he were completely healthy there, they'd be in the playoffs. Now you give Favre the Vikings D AND Adrian Peterson? Oh lawd.

Also, lol at the Bears. Maybe if they had a WR better than Hester, I'd say "Bears win North for sure", but not until they do get one.

Favre will never stay retired, as long as him arm still works and he can move his wheelchair around I expect him to play well into his 70's, osteoporosis and fragile bones be damned.
