san diego is like dallas, both teams have been stacked with talent but are soft as shit with weak ass coaching. i just cant put any faith in san diego, especially with LT on the decline, cromartie sucking nuts last year, vincent jackson going to prison, etc.

Trial postponed until after the season so if he does get locked up, it will be after the season.

I'm anxious to see if those were legitimate reasons for bad play last year. LT said he was injured all year, same with Cromartie and half the season Gates. Merriman was out too obviously. Either they had a horrible mix of circumstances throughout the regular season, or that team was really just that bad. I'm hoping it's the former, because I don't wanna accept most of that team coming back this year if it's the latter

LT was injured more then he has stated publicly. I know this will sound like my brothers friends dads uncle's dog, butttttt, my roommate works for the company(well its him and another guy) that does all of LTs promotions(runs his golf tournaments, sponsorships, local community service etc.) and he had mentioned that LT really should have shut it down for the season by week 6 or 7 with how bad he really was injured. His theory was LT was trying to pull a rivers(playing in the AFC championship game after having surgery on his knees 1 week earlier). Cro I fractured his hip in the first game of the season. No corner in the NFL is going to play well if they can't turn their hips. Gates, yeah toe, looks to be healthy. Spent alot of time in the gym this offseason while rehabing and looks like a fucking beast now. Merriman, everyone knows his story.

If you looked at the D last year after Rivera took over it was a whole new team. They were getting more pressure on the QB, and I think starting the season with Rivera at the reigns will make sure we don't start off slow. Rivera was a former LB and will bring the LB mentality to the team. I'm personally excited to see Merriman, Phillips, and English on the field at the same time. Any team that see that combination is going to have to respect a heavy blitz which can throw off what ever package they sent on the field.

I don't know though. I know without a shadow of doubt that we have extremely talented players. But besides Smith we don't get any national airtime just because of the Charlotte/(N, S) Carolina market. Its sad really

Football is huge here. The Canes would be lucky if they got half the attention the Panthers did (and I say this as a former hockey player and avid fan).

Thing is, for some reason, they're almost always the underdogs. And they like it like that.

Reason I don't fear the Trgo:

Now, it's not so much the article saying that the Packers are totally stacked at LB (although that is nice) but it's the fact that in the entire article, specifically about LBs, I don't see a single quote from Trgo. McCarthy? Capers? Check.

I'm telling you guys, they've got him on lockdown. He's probably in a cage somewhere under the stadium watching tape, far far away from the players.
