I'd kill a snitch for a winning season.

I think the Eagles are going to be hosting Shawn Springs this week. What I can see happening is moving Sheldon Brown to FS to take Dawks spot, and pick up Springs. Keep Demps on Special Teams and certain packages. Defensively I think we'll be close to the team we were last year

A Grossman/Benson reunion in Cinny will be epic fail.

The Bidwills are definitely shit owners...but they aren't dumbasses like Daniel Snyder bidding against themselves. There are only a handful of teams that Warner would even remotely make sense going to right now. A few of them might even pay him $12M+...but they're willing to take the chance that he actually believes "it's not about the money". I'm pissed that they're structuring their existing contract offer with only a 1 year guarantee, but I'm pleased with the fact that they're not overpaying him for sentimental reasons. Cause then you just end up with shit like having the cut Marvin Harrison cause he makes too much when his skills dropped off a cliff due to age.

It only came out Sunday that only the first year of 2 @ $20M was guaranteed. If his agent had made that more widely known in the first place, he wouldn't have been getting slammed as much as he is locally.

I don't even think the Cardinals will accept this counter-proposal he's made, because it puts the guaranteed money around $18-19M. But I think they'll be smart enough to come back with something in the $21-22M range with about 15 guaranteed. And if not, we get to enjoy Matt Leinart...

Or maybe if Warner leaves, they'll get into the Rex Grossman sweepstakes!

I just hope they take care of Dockett before he holds out, and get another cornerback. McFadden was in yesterday, but I don't see them pushing hard to sign him right now.

Warner won't even make it through 3/4 of next season; someone will knock him out.

I don't know why they wouldn't want to pay less when they are the only real suitor for Warner.

It is the same as the Manny R. deal. If I was LA, I would offer less than $45M the next go around; why go up when they are the only bidder?

Yes I was referring to this specific free agent year and how it has progressed thus far, nothing more.

I was telling you to have some faith in a consistent NFL franchise, nothing more.

Plenty of good players get cut / traded post-draft, and also include the week leading up to the draft. Making hasty decisions will put your team back like the Cowboys / Redskins.

Except the 49ers offered him more money to come there and all. I suppose they don't count since they've been shitty for a long time though, right?

Correct. Warner came out in public and said if it wasn't going to be the Cardinals he was going to retire....about 3 weeks ago.

You have to be retarded to think he wasn't just using the 49ers as leverage.

You can tell he is more concerned about winning that most players. There was 0 chance of him signing with the 49ers imo.

I think there's an honest chance he could have signed with the 49ers. Think about what it would have done to his HoF chances. Not only getting to the Super Bowl three times, but completely turning around a franchise and possibly leading them to the playoffs? The 49ers have a decent supporting cast... just no QB.

Adam Schefter on NFL.com is saying that the Ravens have signed Ray Lewis and Matt Birk the center from the Vikings.

    Edit: We're back baby!

Also, Semari Rolle was reported today as wanting out of town.

Only 2 CB, an inside LB, and a WR (Mason still isn't signed) to go...

If all comes to fruition the Steelers will have the easiest schedule in the NFL

They won't replace Leonhard or Scott with as good as they had. Semari is good depth, and If other teams were smart they would sign Mason fast as a possession WR.

Baltimore won't make the playoffs next season.

Ray Lewis has old man's knees. Rex Ryan even said publicly he had to design plays to ensure Ray didn't have to move horizontal (because he can't keep up - but this part wasn't said lol).

Edit - McCallister got dropped too, but I don't think that is a bad thing lol.

Oh and btw, we have lost better than Bart Scott before and were just fine. Jim Leonard was good but something tells me that if he was better in pass coverage he wouldn't be running all over the place.

I haven't heard about Rolle wanting out. Where was that reported?
