The rule just protects offensive players still. The Ward hit on Rivers would still be considered legal, even though it was helmet to helmet which is illegal anyways.
Rivers is a noob, you're taught to keep your head on a swivel in pee wee football. Face it, that nigga just got jacked the fuck up! No need to change the rule that lame. Rivers should perhaps lern2play? I mean coming from USC you think he'd have heard that a time or three from Carroll and his staff. But oh wait! Playing inferior talent and blowing them out probably masks the problem.
Or at least know that when Ward is on the field know where he is at all times. loooool at a WR changing the rules of football because of his bone crushing blocks, fucking awesome. Best quote after that hit....
"Keith Rivers, Talking Through His Teeth, Says Hines Ward Will 'Reap What He Sows"
lolwut? 12 years in the league vs 6 games into a career? Yeah ok. Good thing Ward is new to this whole NFL experience and the art of threats for a rookie.
I'm all giddy for next season.
I was too, then I realized we still had Jake pulling the trigger @ 9 mil next season.
I want to see Rivers lay into old man Whines Hard and see Benson give Polamalu (even though he's the only steeler I like) another concussion.
Benson would be too busy being a bust to ever do such a thing.
Don't you talk to me about busts Jake.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
jake is my idol, from now on I'll only eat at Bojangles and wear his jersey night and day.
I went to Disney World on my spring break who had a Delhomme jersey. First I felt sorry for him, then I sacked him.
Cincinnati getting 11 picks this draft, and they finally changed their site layout. Best day ever.
going to use them all on WRs again?
I fucking hope not. I want the first 8 picks to be OL.
Have you people not been paying attention for the last 10 years?
Taylor is going to rush for 8000 yards and 92 touchdowns this season.
looks like the NFL season going to be expanded to 17-18 games by 2011...
not sure how I feel about this, but I guess you can't go wrong with more football
Also, some of the new rule changes are a fucking joke. You can no longer hit a player in the NFL. GG
Steelers do it to Palmer, no one cares.
Pats do it to Losman, no one cares.
Chiefs do it to Brady, rule change.
I don't like it either. Let the guys play the damn game. All these rules about not hitting people is ridiculous. The players of the 70s, 80s and early 90s would be upset.
How can you not feel good about extending the regular season?
More NFL is fucking WIN. More threads to piss off BG people, more touchdowns, more fantasy weeks, more ENTERTAINMENT, more weeks to laugh at the lolCowboys, just MORE.
It will also get rid 2 retarded ass preseason games. These games usually have some of the best weather and to get 2 actual games during this weather fucking rocks even more.
Fuck having more weeks. Such a bad idea. The NFL isn't a league where there's a lot of mediocre teams vying for position. You're either good or you're not.
Week 15/16 already suck when half of the division winners/conference champions bench all of their starters after the first quarter.
and now you expect me to be excited for more end of the season exhibition games?
no bueno
