I live near Toronto and thus, always get to watch Buffalo on CBS. the commentators are always Phil Simms and I forget his usual partner but they both are amazing. Reminds me of ESPN Sunday Night Baseball's Jon Miller and Joe Morgan. They just have "it" when it comes to commentating. I guess it really is the dark side if they win me over like the pied piper lol.

So in news nobody cares about but me and all the other closet Seahawk fans (I know there's tons of you!) we signed Justin Griffith and Ken Lucas, as well as rescinding our Franchise Tag on Leroy Hill.

Obviously the franchise tag is the biggest issue but I'm pretty happy with the signing of Griffith and Lucas, I really loved the explosiveness Weaver brought to the game but he didn't seem to open up too many holes in the running game, and personally I'd rather have a blocking FB than a FB/HB hybrid which is what Weaver seemed to be. He made a lot of great plays but I'd rather our RB be doing that and our FB putting some people on their backs like Mack Strong used to. Lucas well, our CB situation at the moment is awful. Trufant is a great ballhawk and I love him but outside of him we just have Jennings and Josh Wilson, who I don't really care for. Jennings could get better still as he's rather young. I can't count how many times last year I yelled at my TV because our secondary fucked up huge on 3rd and long. Lucas isn't a beast but I've always liked him and the way he handled things with Steve Smith last year were supurb.

As far as Leroy Hill well, he's a solid LB and I'd definitely love to get him back in a Seattle uniform. The big free agent market is over now so I'm hoping that he doesn't garner much interest and resigns with Seattle, if not though now that we have Curry and Tatupu either way our LB will be a strength (barring Curry being a bust, which would make me almost as sad as Miz). Espn was talking about us possibly signing Derrick Brooks if Hill leaves which is pretty interesting, I hadn't watched a lot of Buc's games so I'm not sure how much juice he still has left in the tank, but either way I'd like to see him come to Seattle for a year if for nothing else than to help mentor Curry similar to the way we brought in Jerry Rice a few years ago.

I was about to come on here and ask if this was normal practice lol. I saw this and was wondering what the hell they were doing. I did see they signed an undrafted FB though, and I'm praying he can play the position at least better than Hester or Pinnock

It's common practice to sign some undrafted free agents after the draft, though some teams just sign a bunch of them hoping to find that diamond in the rough, or at least some decent backups/special teams players.

He's a big-shouldered blocking machine. Not much of a receiver, but he can block a ton, stocky as hell - 6'0, 254. He knows how to move linebackers.

Cleveland Browns: GRADE: B-
Alex Mack was a good pick at No. 21 and Mohamed Massaquoi was a very good pickup in the second round. I think fellow second-rounder David Veikune was a bit of a reach in that round, but not enough of one to seriously dent the Browns' grade. They didn't get a great receiver in Brian Robiskie in the second round, but he's polished enough as a rookie that he could be a solid possession guy for this franchise.

I don't post here often, but I was in Cleveland last weekend and all my friends absolutely hated our draft. The initial trade-down from #5 to #17 was fine, especially since Aaron Curry was gone. But then going down to #19 and eventually #21 just to pick up two sixth-rounders was maddening. We all wanted different players, some people liked Matthews or Maualuga at LB, the OSU homers wanted Beanie Wells or Laurinaitis, and I wouldn't have minded the TE Pettigrew. But Alex Mack a good pick at #21? Does Jeff Faine ring a bell? If they were going to go with the O-line in the first round they should have kept the #5 pick and taken a tackle. Seriously I give the Browns draft an F this year, way to not get any impact players and no picks next year in the Sanchez deal.

Honestly I find it hilarious how much credit they give Cassel for the amazing feat of taking one of the best teams in the history of football directly out of the playoffs.

Wow how did I miss this? I agree 100% Plow, reality will set back in on them this season. I mean, he played decent in a contract year, what else was he supposed to do? Week 1 - 6 everyone was saying he is HS talent QB and how the Pats were looking into bringing in another QB because Cassel couldn't cut it etc....

OTL did a story on his HS coach and how that was the last time he started a game and so on and so on. It's crazy how a decent season with the Pats people were clamoring for his services and ready to anoint him as the second coming of Brady and Manning.
