I mean after the Bengals cut him. You guys may get a First Rounder out of it.

He's probably going to be KR/PR specialist after we let Glenn Holt go and I see Chatman getting the axe after training camp.
We actually signed 2 25+ year old rookies this year. Quan and Bernard Scott (4 prior arrests lawl).
I think it is about time to reiterate Delhomme will be the Panthers QB for the next 3 seasons, bar a huge payout / salary punch after year 2.
Good times.

I'm not in favor of terrorists but I'm very happy with the Eagles draft. They even picked up a Penn Stater in free agency.
Possibly. I think the primary reason CAR re-signed him was to give them a little more room on salary cap. With Peppers fat payday from the franchise tag they had some issues with it. He doesn't have a lot of guaranteed money in that contract either. I think they're hoping to make some moves to get a QB in the draft next year, which will be loaded with them. That or they'll at least give Moore a shot. Damned if he hasn't earned it. Not to mention Jake has choked at critical times enough to be a bench warmer. Seriously, with a RB tandem like Williams and Stewart, why the hell put the ball in the hands of a QB like that so often...
But they did pick up Fiammetta, arguably the best FB in the draft. Goodson was a good pick up at RB as well given he plays out of the slot. So they beefed their running game up a good bit in this draft, and they already had one of the best in the league.
I'm hoping this means they're going to be even more run heavy. As long as Jake gets the chicken grease off his fingers before the games and he does almost nothing but hand it off, they should be in great shape this year. Be scary to think of what they could do with a real QB to throw to Smith. One day maybe, one day...
Bengals are going to be on the new season of Hard Knocks.
Ugh.
No, I'm not blind. 42.5M/yr @5yrs. 8.5M/yr. It's expected he'll be starting for at least 2 more years. Probably 3. He's guaranteed $20M. 3yrs @ $8.5 is $25.5M. Then they can cut him loose for whoever their new prospect is. Be it a draft, trade, or bumping Moore up, I can't fathom Jake starting more than 3yrs. Nor can I imagine him -NOT- starting for at least 2. Fox has a hard-on for him for some reason.
Not to mention, his last year on his old contract would have accounted for $10M towards the salary cap this year, which has been an issue for them. Now they have a little more wiggle room.
I think they did an excellent job with the contract when you consider all the variables.
Don't get me wrong, I can't fucking stand him. I've been preaching about how CAR needed a real QB for years. But I can see why they chose to re-sign him with a deal like this given their current circumstances.
He's going to Browns minicamp, but don't think they're signing him beforehand
I didn't get to try it out yesterday, but apparently ESPN.com had some fun stuff going on.

Two Crimson Tide QBs mentioned in a span of three posts... it's gotta be the Hoover High haircut or something.
Croyle on last year's Alabama team would have had a fantastic year tossing the ball to Julio Jones instead of DJ Hall and lolIdroptheball Keith Brown. JPW was just a game manager.. dude fucking sucked.
Though I'd still take him as an AU fan. WTB A Quarterback.
ROFL! Seriously? That guy was undrafted for a reason. He will see preseason, IF THAT, in the NFL. Even if 3 QB go down, and they call him up to dress out, they would still demote a special teams guy and sign a veteran off the street before playing that guy in the NFL. I am talking about ANY team.
