Sounds like a wahwah and a phaser, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it is.
That's a combination of Wah and Flange if I'm not mistaken. Slight phase in there as well.
Hmmmm I used to have all of that and never sounded even close![]()
Well obviously there's some distortion in there as well. Let me see what I can do in my software effects and if I come up with anything close I'll tell you.
edit: Steve was pretty much right. They probably put a post-fx envelope filter on there and pedal-controlled wah.
Now that you mention it, it does sound like a bit of flange aswell, I have no pedals at hand atm, but I would love to have a play around and figure this one out, very odd combo considering he is just playing one note at a time.
One note at a time? Sounds like power chords to me <_<; or is that what you meant?
Wah-wah - about 75% "effect" and modulating using the pedal controls between 60%-100%.
Distortion - If you have any amp modelling settings on your amp, change it to a valve setting and then increase the gain slightly. Otherwise as crisp a distortion as you can make. Increase the bass a slight bit, leave mids where they are and move treble down about 10%-25%.
Phaser/Tremolo+Flange - Veeeery light on this setting, max of 10% on the knobs, if that.
It's a very light distortion, just enough to dirty up the clean tone, and a wah wah petal. Toss in a chorus effect, and bingo.
Edit: i can even tell you which pedal lol. The wah is a Jim Dunlop Crybaby.
que? o.o
That's kinda wierd because that's the wah I have is a cry baby GCB-95 and if I put even a very small amount of distortion it's like it's not a wah anymore just a full or no treble pedal ;_;
wah + flanger is called a yaya pedal
cause it sounds like it says yah
the moar you know
