Just remade this last night. Plan on figuring out where to put grid in, as well as party frames to make targeting and healing a little easier when I hit 80.

Oh wow I'm super late on the reply here.. the general addons I use are:
Unitframes - Stuf (if you're more into dogtags customization, pitbull'd be better, but I fail at coding)
Panel art - kgpanels
Raid frames - Grid
Combat text - MikScrollingBattleText
Action bars - Bartender (Dominos is absolutely <3 too, but doesnt allow different skinning of bars)
Bags and Inventory - Combuctor
Cast - AzCastbar
Cooldowns/timers - Forte
Minimap - Chinchilla
Buff - Satrina Buff Frames
Damage/Threat meter - Skada
Chat - Chatter
Tooltip - Tiptac (Cowtip is also amazing if you're good at dogtags coding..)
Data - SLdatatext
.. Thats about it, I don't change my regular addons much unless I can find a lightweight alternative which performs to my expectations.
@Kalisa - Lovely. I notice how you kept the textures consistent too, really good work.
@Ksandra - Nice to see people using the default bliz unitframes look. I like the idea you're going with the bottom panel, if you made your omen+recount+chat log windows background transparent, and maybe edited the texture to look like it's indented into the frame, it'd probably look more natural. :] keep it up!
@Inactive - Simple - if you're going to heal > Grid = center of the screen. If you're dpsing, Grid can be placed anywhere as long as it looks nice :3
I'll edit in a raid version later next week, hopped on a dummy to show timers / target etc.

Was getting a huge FPS drop after the patch so I spent a day trying to figure out what was wrong and ended up redoing my entire UI again >.>

Major addons:
Pitbull4
Bartender
Satrina Buff Frames
SexyMap
MSBT
TipTac
Recount
Omen
Quartz
Oh wow that looks really good Quixotic. Just curious what's that little bar in the middle (below DBM)? I love how your grid is set up. :]
Which fonts are you using? Cuz I think I can spot like 4 there.
Below DBM is EventHorizon which I use to time my slice and dice and also my rupture (it also tracks rupture ticks). Raid frames are actually Pitbull4 not grid, but its the same idea, I just wanted to keep things a bit more lightweight by not having two unit frame addons so I spent a while configuring pitbull to resemble grid a bit. As for the fonts...all of them are from that Ishtara UI pack mentioned earlier in this thread. For the player frame, target frame, and SBF tracking by the player frame is just one of the pixel fonts. For SBF, and the raid frames its BigNoodleTitling (condensed_02 in the ishtara sharedmedia pack). Chat and other UI mods are whatever sans_serif42 is in the pack and the default UI stuff is whatever Ishtara's UI mod changed it to.
redid my UI for my new monitor

nothing fancy really, but gets the job done for me. I know I can get rid of 2 hotbars there and put something better, but I'm too used to it like that since I've had it the whole time, getting rid of them would confuse the hell out of me for awhile
have x-perl raid windows and party window on the left, plan on setting up grid and pitbull at some point, but for now I'm fine with xperl. Also box above my recount is omen
I'm assuming you're using KgPanels and if so, why not anchor the Omen box to the actual Omen window? Just stick your mouse over Omen (when it's open of course) and use this script:
/run ChatFrame1:AddMessage(GetMouseFocus():GetName())
Then type that anchor name into the Parent/Anchor boxes for the panel and it'll automatically hide itself when Omen is hidden.
Thanks for the tip, just set it up. Had no idea how the whole anchoring thing worked, so when I set the panels up I just positioned them around where I want all my frames to be. Now that I know how to do that, I set it up on all of my frames to make it easier when I want to move things around
Give me some tips, I want criticism!
Grid appears below my casting bar and my cooldown bar. I sort of don't like my mount, potion, etc binds on the side. I might hide those also. I don't click anything so that's why I have no buttons showing for those who were curious. I want to use a new font but I don't know a good font. Might use Quixotics font.

No problem.
First of all, I would anchor your kgpanels. It helps to clear up space when you're not using whatever addon they're for. I'd then change the Forte spell timer to something else just because I hate how it looks and it's a pain to customise.
If you're using pitbull3 i'd suggest setting your background border to 100% opacity and your border opacity to 0%. Then just set any random border and it should leave a crisp black border around your pitbull frames.
Other than that i'd move the minimap to the top right and change the border to red (or you could switch the borders for everything else to blue to make it match!) and fade out the buttons at the bottom. You could bind them to a key aswell so that they're hidden till you need to use them.
You have way too many fonts atm, choose a general look you want and match all the fonts so that it gives the UI some consistency. What on earth is that red panel on the right for? And your minimap and buttons position don't align with anything so it's kind of just floating there.
Cookies has pointed out what to do with pitbull.. just try to keep the look consistent remember, if you use crisp black borders for pitbull, have your cast bar match it as well.
I'm a loyal user of Forte too so, I'm all for keeping it :3
New monitor = New UI!

Resized like a bitch on photobucket but any suggestions for anything else?
Tiptac or cowtip to move your tooltip so its not overlapping your panels.
Good thinking that man, just done it![]()
