There are some for the sizes you have i'm sure.

Edit: Well you could use each of those menus to configure everything manually, but I find that really difficult when you are given like 30 new addons all at once.
Edit: And pitbull is a stupid bitch to setup. Either version.

Ah, thought you said you had the option for 1680x1050. Anyways yeah, 12xx is way too small to pull off that UI before breaking tables/etc.

Some UI compilations have multi-res. But be warned, most looks like shit in anything besides wide screen, if they were intended for it.

Keep looking around though, I'm sure you'll come across a decent one around your size.

I guess this UI stuff is for hardcore players, or PC suave people. Didn't realize a big monitor was so important lol

Nah it's not that bad man, just find one for the resolution you use if there is one. If not start slow and get a couple addons like bartender and quartz, play around with the config until you get it figured out then grab a couple more. It just takes some working with.

Its simple, just takes a little reading

I run currently at 1400x1050. Which is usually an unsupported resolution range since most people don't use it. So I decided to go my own route and build from the ground up. Taking ideas from here, or there of course.

I tried using bartender and stuff and it was just annoying as shit to get anything done :/. I'll play around with a few UIs, but the only place I could find that has downloadable UIs is WoWInterface Downloads

I built my UI in 1280x800 and then just maximise the window. The best way to start (and I know it's daunting) is to build your UI 1 addon at a time.

    http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...709_223524.jpg

^^^ Is remarkably simple to use and I'm bored so I'll give you a step by step guide.

dl1) buttonfacade and bartender: When you first install then it will put all your bars in the middle of the screen. Right click on minimap button and untick the lock and bar snapping buttons. Drag bars numbered 1 2 and 3 to the bottom middle of your screen. In the bartender menu click on bar1 and adjust the scale and spacing to suit your screen. Repeat for bars 2, 3 the bag and micromenu buttons.

    2) Sexy Map: Right click on it and choose the border that you want. If you want a simple square map with no border the choose the simple square border and change the alpha value of the border to 0.

    3) Kgpanels: /kgpanels config and use it to make background panels (with borders maybe) for the buttons, map, extra buttons, anything you want.

    4) Grid (and another plug called grid manabars): /grid config and adjust the way it responds to whatever type of group you're in. Use Bg's to fiddle with the 10 and 25 man settings to make sure its set up like you want without haveing to wait till you raid to see if its working.

    5) Pitbull/Xperl: I'd leave pitbull well alone until you feel a lot more comfortable. Install xperl and disable xperls raid frames (just choose to not load the raid part of the addon in the addon menu at the character select screen)

Using those 5 addons you can build pretty much everything. Add the essentials like recount/omen/whatever and you're good to go. Good luck!

Shit, before you start, slide the UI scale slider in the main blizzard video options all the way to the left. If you build your UI then try to change it afterwards it usually buttfucks it right up.

Curse and a few others also cater compilations, if your interested in that. (In my personal opinion. You'll get more from starting at the ground up by learning )

I tried ru UI (1280x1024) : WoWInterface Downloads : Graphical Compilations which fits my UI and it almost kinda worked.

When I first started, I basically just went to wowinterface and browsed all the categories; downloaded anything that seemed interesting (mind you, this was back in vanilla onry, so a lot less resources/community support at the time, so easier to browse the whole lot), and tried it out (but made sure I was never "trying" more than a few addons at a time so I knew what to change if I didn't like something/there was a conflict).

Then as time went on, I started identifying things I wanted to do differently: 1 single window for bags, rearranging hotbars, so forth and so on, things I didn't find necessary just from the description in the initial go-round. I'd go and find a few addons that seem to do what I'm looking for until I find one that suits me; usually in the first 5 or so I'd hit, but sometimes it would take more work and asking /2 or /g for input.

Oddly enough, while I've always been impressed with what others have managed to put together (either as submitted compilations or just as screenshots of their setup), I've never had the desire to conform to one, generally because something is always just off enough to annoy me, or because it's so complicated that it's not worth the trouble just for some pretty looks; with something that I built, I know exactly what to look for in the event I need to change something.

So yeah, don't go overboard, and try to just figure out what modifications you actually need to make your playtime streamlined/better/more fun. Once you have a concept of "I need something to do X", then eventually all these things will kind of mesh together into a UI that just flows for you.

Looks like you have both xperl and pitbull installed. Unistall one of them and itll clear it up a lot. (Pitbull is a hell of a lot harder to configure than xperl)

The best thing to do, if you want to start tweaking your UI, is to browse around at different compliations and figure out what you like, then start slowly modding yours. Over time you'll get a hang on how the different config options work for different add-ons (I finally understand Pitbull, after giving up on it twice before) and how to better tweak them to your liking and how to make things look how you want.

I decided to take a look at how my UI has evolved over the last year that I've been playing. Giant WTF pics under the spoiler. (I also changed monitor sizes somewhere in the middle, which made a difference as well.)

So I enabled some addons from a UI I downloaded that didn't work and I ended up with a lot more than I wanted and I dunno what is what lol.

There's just way too much going on and it's really bothersom to look at. Idk what is what either. Help :<

Start disabling stuff until you find what changes what you have a problem with. Do it in town so you logout instantly. It's a pain but it's the most surefire way to find problems, especially when there may be some weird and not entirely obvious addon at fault.

Alternately just start going through the addon config window and making slight changes to each one until something related to the specifics of what you're having issues with moves, then you know what to look at. This will also help you get familiar with some of the addons' configurations.

Whatever scrolling battle text that is, msbt?, I'd strongly suggest lowering the font size and configuring the scroll areas so they aren't on top of you.

I'd actually lower my whole UI scale if I were you, that's in the standard blizz options.

Is it just me or does everything look like shit (text is barely readable for instance) when using UI scale?

How much does seeing the buttons actually help if you can't see what's going on during the fights though?

If you want to leave text that big, and such. Your gonna need a bigger monitor to suit your tastes
