Am I the only one who likes the default button configuration? I have an addon to add an extra bar (or 2-4 if I needed) that I added to the right buttons, but beyond that I just prefer it spread out, I still know where everything is and keep what I click in one spot vs what I keybind, and I've never run into issues with knowing where stuff is or clicking what I need to

Mostly everything I do is with the keyboard in combat. There's no reason to have huge buttons taking up 20% of my screen for shit I don't really need to see.

But clearly there is enough reason to waste space with an unnecessary bar displaying unnecessary things that is otherwise accessible in default UI, with less space wasted. Not to mentionen the rest of the colossal UI taking up 1/5 of your screen.

We get it, you hate custom UIs. Unfortunately that's not really how you contribute to a thread about custom UIs.

I was impressed by that one. The only thing that actually bothers me is the black background on chatbox.

And yet you still have a hardon for seeing your own portrait in your unit frame

I played around with this setup for a while:

But I ended up going back to X-Perl for my Player/Target/Focus frames. I'm just too used to it. XD

It may not look quite as organized, but I can't freakin' live without having my buffs/debuffs/casting bars/totem bar lined up like X-Perl anymore. I wish I could have unitframes with the same setup as X-Perl, but with a different graphic design.

    Feast, my minions!

Do you seriously need your own debuffs that huge? Like, if they shook loose from the character pane, you'd one-shot Saurfang with those massive things.

It's all about habit, and what you're used to. I wish I didn't. I tried having them smaller, but then I kept letting FS drop off and/or confusing it with the enhancement shammy's FS. @.@ The focus frame normally has smaller debuffs, though; I just hadn't adjusted the settings at the time of the screenshot. XD

dot timers are an ele shamans best friend.

NeedtoKnow is wonderful, you can set up however many bars you want for whatever dots you want. it's very simple, and itll show you a timer for any abilities, buffs, dots, anything you put up

It's more that I'm too used to having that big-ass square in the corner of my eyesight, in that portion of the screen. @.@

Every time I post a pic of my UI here, people say it's good, but that I should ditch X-Perl, and every time I think "it's about time!" I use a diffrent type of UFs for 1-2 weeks, trying to get used to them, and then eventually I always go back to X-Perl because nothing's right without it. XD

Funny thing, I only started increasing the size of my own debuffs after I switched to Shadowed Unit Frames. The default size and the cooldown timers on my debuff icons in XPerl was sufficient, but SUF tends towards a smaller scale.

I won't tell you to drop XPerl 'cause there isn't anything terrifying bad about it (though I don't know how memory intensive it is or isn't compared to other options), I just thought it was funny how massive your debuff icons are. I mean, they're being overlapped by other debuffs.

You can set up Pitbull4 to have different sizes for your debuffs and others, and you wont have any of the overlap either.

I've tired, uninstalled, re-tried and re-uninstalled Pitbull about 5 or 6 times now. XD I liked SUF better, but still couldn't get past my visual hangup with X-Perl.

Which is really just funny, cause I think the X-Perl frames are ugly as sin.

I recently switched to using TukUI and am in the proces of getting the little details back that I used to have on my previous UI (JasjeUI). One of these details is the fact that I used to be able to get a tooltip whenever I hoovered over either my unitframes or my gridframes. Currently I don't get a tooltip of the person whose name I'm hoovering over in either my gridframes or my unitframes both in and out of combat. This is slightly annoying whenever I want to find out if someone in my raid is still in dalaran or already inside the instance when I'm at the summoning stone (both are obviously grayed out).

Anyone got an idea why and how to fix it?

Go into your tukui.config.lua and find the tooltip options. There's a section for Tooltip Options with some things like cursor anchors and hiding in combat, but there's one in there for showing the tooltips on friendly units. I can't remember what the exact command is, but make sure it's marked as false.

Edit: Found the full Command, it's under tooltip options right before the positioning information.

hide_uf_tooltip = false -- hide tooltip on unitframe cause it sux!

I've been raiding the most with my moonkin, so here's a pic of a whole lot of crap going on in a raid for reference sake.

My Shadow Priest's UI is similar, but without the centrally placed map (my druid's a herby, so the map there helps when flying aimlessly praying for Frost Lotus).
