Sounds like he just wants a single column, which I don't remember Grid being able to do last time I used it. I just use pitbull to do my raid frames now, and you can configure that to be exactly like grid, or in a column. Perfectraid does this too, iirc.

My current UI. Pretty basic, the longer I play the less Addons I seem to use. You really just don't need most of the shit and I hate a cluttered UI, I want my view space big as possible.

Clean and tidy, but the ocd freak in me really wants you to allign the top of omen and recount then change the top bar thickness of one to match the other lol.

Also looking at some people's ui's, how can people use 7890-=? I used to do that shit and taking my hand off my mouse was so annoying. Retaught myself to not use it for anything i would need in combat (just have my mounts on that side) and found my life so much easier.

Who takes their hand off the mouse? When I played with just a keyboard I'd have no problems moving my hand between 1-5 and 6-0, because you should be moving with your mouse.

I use a speedpad now tho, combined with other mouse buttons. Never have to move either hand away unless I need to type

The time it takes to move your left from 7 to = or taking your hand off the mouse takes a ton of time. Started remapping menu options like charachter screen and nameplate toggles to my numpad so i have more close keys over. Takes less time for me to hit v, c, r, g, f then it does to slide my left hand to the right side of my keyboard.

I can imagine this wouldn't work with people that need to type out their rage every 5 minutes though...

I have mine still sitting on my desk... i should ebay it or buy/sell/trade it, I haven't used it since getting it. The way my rogues buttons were set up I couldnt carry over a good configuration to it. Never really took the time to figure out a setup for my warrior.

I didn't really like the button configuration on that one, so I got the n52 instead. Works out well enough, gives me 12 primary buttons plus two extra that I currently use for trinket binds, and thumb button for jumping and lateral movement (i.e. if i'm tanking and can't turn around with mouse or such). Then I have the steelseries wow mouse with buttons bound to various other on demand skills, plus my g15 (original blue series baby!) set up with incidental buttons that aren't generally used in combat (mounts, buffs, self heals, etc).

ya I will admit it isn't for everyone, but as I said before it's definitely nice, and it was totally awkward at first because my brain wasn't used to it. But once I got the hang of it I can't imagine going back.

I even use that shit for the sims3 now hahaha. XD
