It'd be a huge clusterfuck to try to weed through to compare people's picks of the previous week. With the length of the season and the amount of people that watch the multiple games of that given week, one thread for the entire season would be an inconvenience. How many times do you really see 2 consecutive weeks both at the top of the front page anyway?

P.S. I think you should let it go too, we all seemed to compromise and you got most of what you wanted.

Just so you know, we didn't suggest adding two mods to something to keep track of the Sports threads. It was Sono's idea to come up with a Sports mod, and I actually suggested Tyche seeing as he's the one who creates the threads. I talked to him for a while a couple nights ago and pleaded our case, he said I came up with a silly analogy (which I won't bring up here), and then he came to his decision. That was the end of it for me. Then about a day later, someone told me "Grats on the Mod, etc" and I had no clue what the fuck they were talking about. I didn't realize that, and I'm not riding some "Mod power high" or anything like that. D: I wasn't expecting it all.

Also, are you suggesting that I'm the one who "spams the threads"? Or are you talking about Tyche, because neither of us really "Spam the sports threads" or anything like that. If you search through my posts in Sports threads (Good luck, because there are tons), you'll see that I put out high quality posts when arguing/discussing something. I never go into a thread and go "^--- Agree with above post" or some stupid +1 post shit. I'll say stuff like "Holy fuck did you see that catch that Fitz just made? INSAAAANE" during the Super Bowl, or during a game, sure. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as you are specifying what you're watching, but suggesting that either of us "Spam the threads"? Gah.

Go ahead and try and ride your ego train for a bit longer. I'm sure you happy about your new mod position. But I'm willing to bet that people will be annoyed when there are consistantly a topic every week despite there being a perfectly decent thread from the week before.

Nobody who posts in the current week's NFL thread misses posting in the one from the week before.

The overlap between discussion on two week's worth of NFL threads is almost nil, and practically speaking there is only ever one visible on your precious Front Page of General.

Basically you have everything the way you want it, and you still won't shut up about it.

I wonder if Senoska has actually read a full NFL thread? There aren't that many "Oh my god did you see that catch" posts. It's really weird to explain why it is done in the NFL in the first place though. It is very very rarely done in the other threads. Then again, comparing the NFL to any other sport is almost laughable in and of itself. One week of the NFL usually generates more attention and discussion than an entire season of baseball or basketball. The NFL is just a different beast. More people watch the NFL than anything else on TV, no exceptions.
