Sports Threads

Not much of a reason for me to complain since I only follow the NHL and it's only in one thread, but expecting one thread for NFL is ridiculous in my opinion. If there were more fans of the NHL on these boards, our thread would be a complete clusterfuck given the amount of games per week there are. But this entire thing is a non-issue until people start making threads for each individual team in the NFL for each week, then I'd understand that there might be an issue.

If anyone has to mod them, I'd prefer Akiyama. Least inherent bias and keeps upw ith just about everything. I couldn't care less about MLB or NBA til the league championships.

All I can find on search is weeks 3, 4, 7, 9, 14, 16, and 17, not including playoff threads-- and that's 130 pages on the dot.

I watch multiple sports as well, and post in all the forums and I conversate with aki in all of them and he seems to be what would be a good choice for a non bias mod.

I rarely browse the sports threads, but I don't really see the problem. Like it was already mentioned, the thread titles are usually clear enough that you know what it's about so they're easy to avoid if you don't care about the topic.

I have an idea, even though I'm not really fond of it since we won't be able to go back and laugh at each other for absurd comments and predictions...but you could have a mod only keep 2 or 3 weeks of NFL threads alive at a time and delete the rest. So, for instance, weeks 1-3 will be accessible, then when week 4 is posted, delete the week 1 thread, then when week 5 is posted, delete the week 2 thread, etc and so on! Half the fun, however, is going back at the end of the season and seeing how nuts we all were.
