If you're going to stop hating on weeaboos, you may as well give more of the spam posters a break, too. That's undeniably one of my favorite forums, as it's raw and uncensored, much like many of my most beloved comedians. I couldn't give two shits less about sports, and maybe I'd bitch about them in spam to enjoy the aforementioned comedy, but I don't truly give a damn that there are tons of sports threads here.

If anyone is mounting some serious crusade to have the sports threads abolished, deal with them. Labeling an entire forum's participants responsible, calling them deplorable, or anything of the sort -- that's just as bad as a few people believing they've the right to dictate what General can and can't have.

Do I make fun of General Discussion all the time? Yeah, I do, much as I make fun of what's popular in society nowadays ("American Idol," etc.). Do I actually give a shit what you guys do? No, not really. And can you honestly tell me that you spend sleepless nights wondering what spam posters are bashing now? I really hope you don't.

So don't apply blanket hate, deal with the people who have come here to fight, and let everyone else have their fun.

I do not read the sports threads nor am I a huge sports fan but I think it is fine the way it is. It is not necessary to try to clump an entire years worth of sports into one thread. They do not flood the forums and are titled appropriately so you can tell what you are going to look at.

Yeah. If the higher ups don't care enough to discuss this within the topic, then clearly the Sports threads aren't as big of a problem as initially stated, so I don't think the regular viewers of the Sports topics should worry.

Sports are considered general topics in every day conversation. I don't know if thirteen year old boys being apart of a harem that fucks an alien and gets her pregnant is considered "General" as much as it might be considered "Spam" yanno?

Ignore them? Sports threads are infrequent and only comprise what percentage of General they do because gaming/entertainment discussion got moved out into subforums.

Having multiple NFL threads isn't really going to change the fact that there's still going to be one thread on the front page for probably most of the season. So the issue will still be present, just it will be more annoying to navigate the thread because it will be hueg.

That's the kind of thing people discuss daily, too. I'd say that sort of topic has a perfectly normal place in General Discussion. It really doesn't help your cause when you're asking for one thing to be left alone, but then you're condemning another thing, does it? Apples and oranges -- stick to defending what you truly care about.
