It's in the free apps, but for supported platforms it doesnt mention vista. Seems it was last updated in 2006, but it seems pretty useful unless there has been another program created that can do the same thing.

It still works, and while Vista isn't expressly supported, it does run fine. I use it at work to go across-screen to an XP machine, and it's worked flawlessly.
The main dev stopped working on it, and another guy has taken up the work and is still developing Synergy 2.0. I don't think he's given a release date for it yet though.
EDIT: also according to the forums it works fine on Win7 as well![]()
i tried synergy back in the beta days of vista. it worked, but it was a PITA. had to manually allow it administrator privileges, iirc, when UAC popped up, i had to reach for the other mouse, sometimes it would just stop letting me control the other PC for some reason, etc. much of it may be attributable to me not knowing vista well (and i like keeping it that way. F@$K vista.) but it DID work to some degree at least. if you're running the vista box as the server and connecting from xp/linux/mac boxes i'd imagine it will work just fine tho.
At first glance, this seems hard to get set up. :/
Step by step tutorial go!
Indeed its fairly confusing at first. I used this guide and managed to get it working.
Awesome guide, got it working. Thanks :D
