Background: Merit party with a JP cor and brd. Afterwards the BRD was asking what country I was from (I was speaking in English and Japanese in the PT), and I said America. What can the GM tool do? It is collision prevention, I guess. It locks your height value and allows you to run through walls, mountains, etc. Personally, I think it is ok in small doses. FFXI does seem to scan if you are actually running in values that shouldn't be possible. I've gotten away with running through entire mountains as recently as 3 months ago. (Note: I held little value for my account. This post is not an endorsement for recklessness.)

Then again, maybe it was just a matter of time before the GM's got around to banning me. I'm not sure if I put this in my original post, but I was actually flee hacking, at 100%, while shouting that I was doing so for 5 hours in whitegate. (I turned on auto navigation, So I just turned it on and afked.) I actually had to call a GM myself (on orden) to get banned.

As for what the GM did, he got really abrupt and brusque. At first he seemed nice enough, like GM R. (I actually had a small convo with GM R. He's married, and has a several 75s on ffxi. Seemed like a cool guy) But as for the second GM, When I was caught, he was all smiles. Then, I ran through a wall and ran behind him, reappeared behind him and said "Boo!" He seemed kind of pissed off after that.

As for what happened after I ran through the wall. I'm not quite sure. I ran out of /say range, and the GM "jail" area actually disappeared in the distance. like 30 seconds later, I got the zoning screen. I was HPed. I had -just- enough time to type "LOL! Bye guys, I'm dead." in LS, then I got the GM Pol error telling my I was disconnected.
