People are saying on the wiki that under the effect of storm surge you get 9-12 strength, which is interesting but not why I posted.

These items are both from treasure caskets and seem to function in similar ways. Can anyone test this neck piece to see if it would give store tp+12 with fully merited storm surge?

I did some searches to see if this was mentioned and it doesn't appear that anyone has checked it out. Chances are I am an idiot, but stp+12 is nothing to joke about so I am asking.

stormsurge gives attributes so no it wouldnt give store tp 12

Storm surge gives stats based on the weather granted by storm spells. The extra STR from storm surge is what "enhances the trousers". The mufflers with storm surge would give Store TP+5 and MND+3-7.

Real quick, though, is that neck piece any good (read: > Spike and I.M.) for that level?

The rule with any store tp gear is.. unless it reduces the swings you have to make in order to weaponskill it is a waste.

I can't think of many setups (that level) where 1 store tp would reduce the hits needed to weaponskill. With the latent on there are a few situations(level 40 sam, kagehide/rajas ring) where it would reduce the swings needed to weaponskill.
