So I take aobut a ap and a half around my block every other day and I have no clue how far I'm actually running. Are there any sites or something where I could like draw a line or outline my running path and it could tell me the distance I ran?

I calculate my walking paths via Google Maps, and measure in straight lines, then give or take a few and you're there (depending on the number of bends/etc you go around)
As a last resort, you can use them "wheels" to measure exactly how far you're running, but except from schools I have no idea where to obtain one.
www.mapmyrun.com is used for exactly what you are talking about. Or you could buy a Garmin Forerunner.
If you have a car, you can reset your "Trip Odometer" and drive around the path you take (assuming it's around city streets).
Awesome, thank you. As long as my route was over a while, which it ended up being, so I'm satisfied with that. Also, now that I know the distance, I'll start timing and aiming for decent times.
Spoiler: show
Edit: in case its confusing the start is going on 64th and 27th is the home stretch
That's a hell of a lot easier to use than the one I posted. I hate mapmyrun's map creator. If you want to continue and don't want to be bound be pre-set parameters and not knowing how far you ran, pick up a cheap garmin gps watch. You can run where ever the hell you want anytime and always know how far you've gone. I think you can get some of the cheaper models (a forerunner 50 with a footpod) for about 75 bucks on ebay. It'll tell you your distance, pace, lap time, etc, as well as provide you a means to upload the data to a computer and compare new and old results. I use the Forerunner 305. It's a bit more expensive (you can find them for around $165), but it has a heart rate monitor, and tells you just about every peice of vital information you could ever want...heart rate, %max, distance, pace, miles, kilometers, virtual parnters, breadcrumb trails for trails, etc and so on.
Edit: A forerunner 101 is GPS and a bit cheaper it appears than they 50...downside is it's bulky size.
yeah the gmaps is easier and quicker, but I think what you posted is more accurate. If I remember correctly the gmaps version had some trouble with elevation changes too. I just like the gmaps pedometer for quick and dirty estimates of short runs.
^This.
And my sprinting route <3 (2.5 km):

Buy a pedometer.
I just use USATF - America's Running Routes
It's USA Track & Field's website and you can map out a route, see how far yours is, or see other routes people have created and saved for your area.
I also use it when I travel.
What would you want a pedometer for? Does it tell you if the girl really is under 10 year old?
My route came up to be about 1.2 miles. Ran that today in 7 mins 40 secs. If i did my math correctly, I believe that comes out to 6 mins 23.5 secs/mile. Anyone know If that's decent or bad for 5"6-5"7, 147 lbs?
Edit: am a beginner, if that helps
That's about average. If you just started your time will get better.
that's pretty good. my best 2 mile time in the army was 12:50...i'm 6' - 210 lbs though, so lugging around a bit more than you. you seem to be in good shape though, so just figure out what you want out of running, if you want to increase lung capacity, lose weight (dear god i hope not), or just develop better cardio. there are diff. types of running you can do to meet those specific goals instead of just running a mile each day the same way and hoping for the best.
