mIRC Channels

Does anyone happen to remember using this program to download albums/movies with? I used to use it back in the day and after logging in
recently none of the channels exist anymore that I used to download from.
I have been downloading stuff through torrents but have yet to find any channels in mIRC; anyone care to share any existing channels. If not, looks
like i'll be switching to newsgroup downloads; which is a great way to get stuff, but would still like to go back to mIRC for some stuff....

No one uses mIRC for anything except chatting anymore, DCC isn't even supported anymore AFAIK in the newest builds and in many of the most recent scripts.

And didn't most Newsgroups get killed recently? Just stick to torrents, you can get anything through them

No newsgroups didn't get killed lol.....
I just don't want to spend 15-30 bucks a month for newshosting.com or giganews... also i am waiting on demonoid to open its registration back up ... haven't found any good/reliable torrent sites either

Ok well, I'm sure there's channels around... but compared how it used to be? Not even close.

I guess DCC still is supported? Man it's been forever since I used mIRC for warez, makes me feel old

If you can't find warez channels on your own, just stick to newsgroups and torrents. Fserves are nice and all, but it's almost always easier to use torrents or newsgroups if you aren't very familiar with IRC, which you clearly aren't.

I am familiar (or was) with irc.furnet.org, channels #foxie, #lol (mine lol), and a few others.
