BTW, jingles post is definitely worth pirating the game, there's like an assload of dedi servers, some have their no noobtube and martyrdom rules, instant respawn hardcore <3, all running punkbuster anti-cheat, definitely makes MW2 fun has hell to play again.

^ Hell yeah, remember the Thermonuclear War game type? It has it. There is also a gun game/team gun game mode that we're trying to get working.

*edit* We got gun game working, its fucking insane lol. 57 levels of guns, ends with a tac nuke.

That has happened to me on occasion, usually I can get on after the 2nd attempt. Is this happening consistently?

*edit* looking at this problem on the alteriwnet forums I see that the solution and problem is from the following

If you receive this message please restart the game and wait in game menu for 30 seconds, to make sure client part is fully initialized.

Now the 'Steam authorization failed' only appears when you're either not updated, or using unauthorized client modifications.
If you used any unauthorized client modification, you won't be able to play for next 6 hours.
