Mass Effect 2

Garrus is the boss. Gonna be hard for me to change him out of my team for my next playthrough.
I had Tali along with Garrus for my Paragon playthrough. Renegade will be Grunt and... possibly Miranda. Not too sure just yet.

I've just gotten around to finishing the game, and the bits after entering the Omega 4 Relay are some of the best cutscenes and gameplay I've ever played/played in a very long time. My only wish is that it were a bit longer, because spending a good 40 hours gathering team members, scanning planets for updates and doing side quests feels a little out of proportion for how short the end was.
Having said that, epic finish. Can't wait for ME3.

Though I do wonder why the Human-Reaper was so small. I guess it grows in size with the more human-paste that it absorbs, but it's hard to imagine it grows from a good few meters high to several kilometers.

But either way, Harbringer being a Reaper and the rest of them waking up and making a move towards the Galaxy was an epic ending. I'm looking forward to the big battle in ME3, and I wonder how much of a difference it'll make if you have the Rachni on your side or not.

You don't need to theorize anything, EDI tells you that the Human Reaper is basically in its embryonic state. She also tells you that 10s of thousands of humans were used to make that form with possibly 100s of thousands or maybe millions being needed for completion. So yes that reaper was barely started, not anywhere near completion.

He's also not as useful if you're playing through as soldier. Other than Overload, he's not bringing a lot to the table when you're already the best source of pure damage on your team by a long way.

My party varied, probably used Mordin and Miranda most frequently, with others now and then depending on what I figured I'd be fighting. Grunt was hilarious for his flavor text, but I usually wanted better damage techs/biotics and some sort of crowd control.

unlimited AP ammo + Incisor Sniper Rifle makes him quite useful. I usually rolled endgame with some mixture of Grunt/Garrus/Samara/Thane depending on how much sniping the mission would entail because of how disgusting thane/garrus are with the multi shot sniper rifles. Will probably include legion on my NG+ insanity playthrough on soldier cause of how awesome the widow is (never upgraded it on Legion on my first playthrough...)

I was mainly talking about coolness, not combat prowess. Samara wins all the coolness contests hands down. She should wear some fucking sunglasses on missions, that's how fucking cool she is.

I rolled Vanguard and pretty much used Tali and Thane as much as possible, that team was pretty sick.

Tali using drones to draw attention and shotgunning, thane picking off poor dudes that I blasted out of cover using shockwave, I used an SMG with incendiary ammo most of the time.

I've been thinking about how the game's characters were handled. I want to see a pc mod(using the in-game emails) that gives you early access to Tuchunka if you did Wrex's quest in ME1, to early access to Illium if you romanced/ended on good terms with Liara(or something), and have Tali join your team at Freedom's Progress if you got her the geth data(and don't take Veetor to cerberus). Of course Tali would leave your team after Horizon and you'd have to recruit her again. Don't see anyway to mod in Legion early though - that would require a whole lot of tricks concerning voice work. Too bad I have no experience with modding lol.

Garrus is cool, but all characters in this game could have used a little more dialogue. Thane has it the best(romance or not), Garrus one of the worst.

There needs to be so many more post mission intercrew dialogues. After Feros, Noveria, Therum we got an awesome crew dispute on the mission before reporting to the council, should have done the same thing with this one instead of the pathetic scaled down ones with just mordin/jacob/miranda and w/e crew you had just recruited.

I think that's why Zaeed is so disliked. He barely has any personal dialogue outside of a few interactions and his loyalty mission.

Even I have to admit I really don't like his character, mostly because we're never given the chance to understand him much.

Thane was my favorite character by far. I hope he doesn't die from drell AIDS before the end of ME3.

I'm indifferent to Zaeed because of the stuff you mentioned. There is certain stuff I like/dislike about all the characters but idk I think Mordin/Jacob were my favorite to talk to.

I used Zaeed on a lot of the missions >.>... Especially since you can get his loyalty right away. His lack of dialog was somewhat boring, but he was still a badass. Mordin is definitely my favorite though.
