If anyone wants to read these. I like to think some of this might become relevant to Shepard at some point, but I doubt it.

it's definitely interesting to speculate as to what from Cerberus Daily News will make it into the game, like the Asari spectre from the council reports or whether the Raloi will show up in ME3.
Are the Raloi mentioned in the books? This is the first I've heard of them.
Alien bird flu lmao
“Now that the celebrations on the planet Turvess have ended, a raloi delegation has been sent to the Citadel for a three-month stay. The delegation will be educated in intergalactic law, history, alien biology and culture, and the rudiments of mass effect physics. Due to an outbreak of the H7N7 flu virus that infected the avian raloi during the opening ceremonies on their planet, the raloi on the Citadel will wear environmental suits whenever they are in contact with an alien species.”
Kasumi placed in Suicide Mission - incomplete model, but some voice work. Not much new though.

The latter is actually based on the former. Sort of like they are blood related.
About bloody time, come on Monday, I want to play my damn game already!ME2 PC Patch 1.01
Will be released on Monday February 22nd at 1 pm MST on the BW social site for retail and Digital Download SKUs.
Should be released on Monday for Steam.
Will include the following fixes:
Changes to 1.01
---------------
- Fixed video hitching and crashes related to single core machines.
- Single core users may experience short periods of black screen that may last up a few seconds between level loads, cinematic transitions or movies.
- In rare cases, some single core users may notice dialog lines in certain conversations may be delayed up to a few seconds.
- Fixed an issue where it appears ammunition can be picked up, but can't.
- Fixed an issue where all Codex entries were marked as 'viewed', even if the player chose not to view them.
- Fixed an issue where weapon icons are re-organized after downloadable content is used.
- Fixed an issue where pressing F9 after the mission completion screen reset Shepard to Level 1.
- Fixed an issue where remapping the right mouse button blocks camera control in the command HUD.
- Fixed an issue where remapping the 'use' command affects the decryption minigame.
- Fixed an issue where users were not prompted to restart when logging in to a different EA Online account.
- Fixed an issue where movies do not play in DLC.
- It is recommended that players reset their keyboard mapping to default values to ensure proper vehicle control.
- Added useful messaging during the ME1 save game import.
- Weapon icon for henchmen never changes from Collector Assault Rifle.
- Czech language – Issues with Czech localization (subtitles) were amended, all text was corrected and improved.
- Fixed an issue where the Mass Effect 2 launcher was being associated with files that have no extension.
- Fixed an issue where uninstalling the game under Windows Vista or Windows 7 might uninstall Mass Effect 1.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, I have to explicitly call out that single core machines are below min-spec, and while we feel the patch addresses the majority of the single-core issues, we cannot guarantee that all users on single core machines will have an optimal experience. We put this fix in because we wanted to help as many users as possible run the game.
They're not even fixing the 'elevators'? Lame.

Just made a new Shepard, calling him Jack.
Spoiler: show
Just make sure he doesnt bang Miranda
Spoiler: show
Just finished playthrough #4, so far I've played as a soldier, adept, and engineer, paragon/renegade, and manshep/femshep. At least on normal difficulty Adept is by far the funnest, especially when you start getting -recharge upgrades/traits. Singularities every 4 seconds being detonated by warp, sending enemies flying all over the place is fucking crazy.
A few things:
-Since Miranda gets extra points, has anyone considered doing 10 overload 10 warp 1 operative 10 slam? Seems like you wouldn't really miss the extra health on anything but insanity.
-I hate how you have to put 3 points into Legion's AI hacking to get access to combat drone, otherwise you could do 10 drone 10 geth assassin 10 geth shield. Tali, on the other hand, can do 10 combat drone 10 quarian machinist 10 shield drain, right?
-Also, not having Reave makes Morinth almost completely worthless compared to Samara. I still think dominate/AI hacking suck balls
-I don't get how they're going to bring back any of the squadmates from ME2 in ME3 if all of them can die. Seems likely that they'd maybe let you pick 1-2 randomly from the ones that live (assuming any of them do) but having to record optional dialogue for 10 people on top of whoever is new in ME3 seems a bit retarded. It seems likely that Kaidan or Ashley would come back, and Liara coming back seems like a sure thing. Personally I'd like to have Kal'Reegar on my team but he can die too.
-I doubt there will be a Normandy SR3, since EDI was made such an integral part of the cast, and the ship survives no matter what you do.
-The Collector Assault Rifle kinda blows damage wise.
I can't wait for ME3
edit: ooh weapon comparison data
http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Weaponry_Comparison
I love that the eviscerator has a better damage rating than the claymore, way to own every soldier/vanguard who picked it over the revenant/widow.
Also incisor is about 3/4ths of the widows power/divided by 3 bullets.
And I could swear the Avalanche's base dmg has to be more than 42.
Every assault rifle leaves something to be desired, I suppose the Vindicator would be okay if not for such a pathetic magazine, revenant is okay with burst firing in adrenaline rush though and i have yet to try the geth rifle on my soldier's insanity playthrough.
I think they will use the majority of the crew from this ME1/2 as NPCs that lead their respective armies that Shepard will recruit and if they died replace them with a generic NPC the way Wrex was. The only exception I can think of would be Garrus cause of fanboys and him not really having anybody he would lead. Tali I expect would be very high ranking in the flotilla so her fanboys might be disappoint. Honestly though I wouldn't put it past them to not record dialogue for that many people and have this be a 3+ disc game or they could just wait for the 360s successor and have it be a launch title or something idk. Also considering the size of what Shepard needs to do and mounting/using whatever 37 million year old weapon killed the derelict reaper, your next Normandy will be significantly upgraded and probably bigger to house all the alliance/cerberus, STG/Krogans, Geth/Quarians, etc. that you will be recruiting for Part 3.
The Geth rifle sucks. On shields it is just average, but it takes forever to kill anything with anything else, even a health bar.
tbh I think the gun I've used more than anything on all my characters is the M6 Hand Cannon but I've always been partial to pistols in shooters. Although fully upgraded the M-9 Tempest machine pistol with Heavy Warp ammo is ridiculous.
the M6 is definitely solid, great for close range on anything but husks and for some sniping if out of sniper ammo, just wish the pistols were still using the old heatsinks from ME1 since 4 clips is so shitty, especially since outside of equipping that +500% force upgrade it was nearly impossible to overheat a heavy pistol in 1.
