Having a hard time deciding if I will use my character from ME1, or start a brand new character. My main in ME1 was just a simple assault guy who has all gun specialties and no tech/biotic abilities. I'll probably stick with my original character, since you start off with bonuses, but yeah.

You can switch you're characters specialization even if you import you're character from the first one. So it doesn't matter what class you were in ME1 you can be whatever you want in ME2.

Sovereign was just one physical manifestation, it could have been a spaceship to suit Saren's purpose (he could have assumed he wouldn't have any way around the galaxy once he was striped of his specter status, thus needing a ship faster than anything else). The only thing we really know about the reapers are that they are a machine race, so we'll see when part 2 comes out I guess.

I was replying (a bit late, mind) to the trailer that was shown nearer the top and the ship that's shown right at the end. Not really a spoiler unless you expect a little 3 minute cinematic to contain important spoilers, which I don't expect from this game.

Besides, it was my guess. I can't possibly know for sure.

Just picked up Mass Effect and I'm starting to get into it. Game is fun but I guess I'm still getting the hang of it. Started off as an Infiltrator and kinda wish I started as a sentinel because that's what I want to be in Mass Effect 2. Stupid question but does anyone know if you have to be the same job you are in Mass Effect 2 as the first one if you continue off that save in Mass Effect 2? Also I'm curious to what classes you guys are going to choose and why.

Biotic classes look a lot more fun this time around, so I'll probably go with adept. Though, if Mordin is an engineer I might go engi just for the sake of having a miniature army on hand whenever synthetics are around.

I restarted the game as a Sentinel. I really like the stuff sentinel gets in Mass Effect 2. The shield and both biotic/tech powers are sick. My 2nd choice would probably be Adept or Vanguard (Both are badass but not as much as Sentinel imo). Infiltrator/Soldier are the last classes I'll play as (Infiltrator seems meh and they haven't released details about soldiers but I don't like not having any powers at all). Sooooo excited for Mass Effect 2 now! Jan 26th can't come soon enough!

Dear Bioware,

I swear to all things holy, if you boast that the Mako Mk. 2 can climb 60 degree inclines then litter the landscape with 70 degree+ inclines, all of which have mineral deposits atop them, I am just going to fucking snap. Nothing makes me rage harder than getting 3/4 of the way up a hill at 0.5 mph, only to start rolling backwards, hit boost in frustration sending me falling nearly back to the bottom, before frustratingly corkscrewing up the side of the mountain trying desperately to find a patch of fucking grass or an incline that's just gentle enough that I can crawl my way to the top... only to find another identical mountain behind it. If you could maybe give me a helicopter or at least a car that isn't fucking retarded that would be just grand.
