Okay after reading the first issue of the comic book this is what I think of The Collectors:

Spoiler: show

a few options:
1) A race of beings, either from the Prothean-era Reaper extinction or earlier, whos job it is to preserve the various species of the galaxy when they detect Reaper attack. The reapers attack, and the Collectors have a 'record' or cross section of life in the galaxy from this time.

2) Protheans themselves, who managed to survive the last Reaper extinction in stasis, similar to their brethren on Ilos, except their power managed to last longer and their VI woke them 55k years later when they detected a new civilization using the mass relays or perhaps when they detected the reapers return. The collectors now barter pieces of Prothean technology in exchange for samples they can use to increase their genetic diversity to repopulate their people.

I'm leaning towards option 2 but I dunno.

I just finished ME a couple days ago and was wondering how the heck you get to level 60? Is there a good place to go to find more enemies?

You do more playthroughs(2 or 3 max) to reach 60. Just make sure to do every side quest.

2 should suffice if you do EVERYTHING (and step out of the mako to kill something, from what I understand, the xp penalty is pretty heavy when killing in Mako.
I was expecting to hit 60 at my second playthrough, and did EVERYTHING (except some of the faros tinythings) including getting all the materials and all. Am stuck at 59 though, doubt I can be arsed to play through it one more time.

It should not be hard, I managed to hit 55 almost 56 in 1 playthrough.

I thought first playthrough had a 50 cap? at least on the PC version (unpatched maybe?) I didn't get anymore xp after 50 on my first playthrough

wasn't my first playthrough, I just replayed the game recently since I couldn't keep track of all my save games from 2 years ago. But yeah, on the first playthrough you are capped to 50.

I don't know if i'll be able to make lv 60 on my second playthrough. I'm 730,000 to 860,000 aprox, and i have virmire and ilos left, and a few sidequests. Will i be able to make it?

I just bought my copy of ME2 last night on Amazon. I knew I wanted the game but I wasn't terribly excited about it. I went to the ME2 website last night and watched the videos though. The game looks fucking incredible so I bought it immediately. Suffice to say I am very excited now.

I cant wait to throw people all over the place and shit.
