Just announced, this Cerberus Network is Mass Effect 2's dedicated pipeline for downloadable content. It's an in-game portal that will be unlocked by a single-use conde included with the purchased game. Once you're rigged up, you'll be able to get news and game DLC from The Cerberus Network. You'll be getting all of this bonus content and daily updates at no extra charge.
"The Cerberus Network augments and extends the rich universe of Mass Effect 2,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder, BioWare and Group General Manager of the RPG/MMO Group of EA. “We’re thrilled to be able to reward loyal BioWare and Mass Effect fans with ongoing, high quality content and provide a direct channel for our players to dive deeper into the intriguing lore of Mass Effect.”
The first DLC pack is coming on January 26th, so be on the lookout for that. Launch day. It will include new items and missions, and will introduce Zaeed, a rugged and deadly gun-for-hire who is recruited to join Commander Shepard’s mission to save mankind. More DLC is scheduled for later, including a hovertank called the Hammerhead, and a new armor named the Cerberus Assault Armor. New weapon M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun is also in the works.
Planning to get a used copy of ME2 later on? Don't worry, you'll be able to buy an activation code for The Cerberus Network in-game.
thats a pretty decent way to do it.
Considering I had max credits in ME1 I like this.
Also, 7 daysssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss~
the only thing money was good for (once you had spectre X gear and predator X/colossus X armor for everyone) in ME1 is the console in Shepard's Apartment after Pinnacle Station, if you still need things like Krogan Geth armor or the Tier VII weapon mods you may have sold and outleveled. I've had max money and omnigel since my third or fourth playthrough.
Hopefully they at least give you more things to spend money on this time around, which seems to be what's going to happen.
Oh also my last playthrough I forgot to deequip my omnitools before beating the game and lost 5 Savant X's![]()
Just hoping they made it easier to go through so many duplicates of ammo effects and weapon mods etc. Got annoying having to go through all of my shit, making sure each time I was keeping enough of a certain weapon mod before a main story planet where you get SO many items.

Man, I am excite.
I'm pretty sure the inventory has been done away with almost entirely. Ammo mods are now abilities. Armor/weapon mods and upgrades are done through research on the Normandy iirc. There are no grenades and medigel never used up inventory anyway.
Considering random weapons, armors and mods made up the entirety of the inventory in ME1 there isn't much of a need for it with the new systems.
Based on the interview I read today with the games director, ammo effects are more or less gone, you do ammo changes from the ingame powers menu and you can map shit to specific keystrokes. Also said inventory screen is completely gone and since weapons modding will happen on the Normandy like with lightsaber building in KOTOR probably dont need to worry about that either.
edit: I saw all of these trailers last week on IGN, nothing new about them lol but yeah Grunt/Subject Zero look great especially if there is a Dragon Age style back and forth banter in game since theres no moar elevators. It's a shame you can't do the 4 person party from DA:O cause I would love to hear the meaner characters ragging on Kaidan.
