For anyone that has played it yet is there a quick swap weapon like in ME1? I personally don't like to pause it every time I need to switch between a pistol and my sniper mid-combat.

From what I've seen of 360 streams there's definitely a way to swap quickly but I wouldn't be able to give you any details.

I know for certain the mouse wheel scrolls through weapons on PC, though.

So I'm watching this live stream for a few minutes, nothing to spoil anything as its way early in the game, just out of boredom. Guy talks to Joker, I think I recognize his voice but can't pinpoint it, so I turn to google.

Pissed mostly on principle, if I genuinely cared about this series (say if it was FF13 or something) I'd be raging.

Also I hope they kept him a cocky asshole like in ME1

Yeah and now he has delightful banter with Tricia Heifer who plays the Normandy's new VI.

Baldwin wins out as Casey for me simply because the character has been given time to develop into probably the funniest character on the show imo, also because he and Chuck have such great chemistry. The way he can get me bursting out laughing with one glare, phrase, grunt, + all the drinking, cigars, and reagan fetish are too much.

The announcement of Mass Effect 2's in-game DLC pipeline, "Cerberus Network," left some details unclear. For example, will DLC through Cerberus be free, since the network itself costs money to install for those without a code from a new copy of the game? And will DLC only be available through Cerberus?

In a video interview with Joystiq (to be published later today), BioWare's Dr. Greg Zeschuk cleared up some of the confusion around the DLC portal. "We'll definitely have for-pay DLC down the road too," he said, revealing that the DLC through Cerberus will be free. "It's not going to be all free DLC for Mass Effect 2 -- far from that. There'll be paid DLC packs, and there'll be stuff available through Cerberus as well."

The way Zeschuk puts it, there will be two separate types of DLC: free material that is offered through the Cerberus Network and paid DLC that can be purchased without Cerberus (through BioWare or Xbox Live Marketplace).

mini fun facts about character importing:

my level 60 shepherd got:
4k xp (started at level 5)
50k credits (+another 100k for rich achievement)
10k element zero
10k iridium
10k palladium
10k platinum
+190 paragon (didn't make much of a dent in the paragon bar)
+14 renegade.

those materials might be from doing all of the mining required in ME1.

only played for a little over an hour, but they mentioned a little bit of stuff I did previously already.

I did a shit load of mining and visited every planet in the galaxy so thatll be interesting to see what I get. Let me ask you something, did you Shepard go the paragon route or something? All of my Shepards were Renegade out the ass and only had 2 bars of Pargon? I'd hate to start out ME2 by being a pussy by default.

I'd start over from level 1 if thats the case.
