At end of 2nd playthrough and Shepherd is fucking 59 (not sure how I managed that...). Going to have to burn through the whole game ASAP and skip the side quest shit since I already have the achievements for like mining and crap. I'm pretty damn sure you should hit 60 on your 2nd play, so I'm not entirely sure how I didn't...

I hit 60 on my 2nd playthrough during the return to the Citadel, so effectively 59 while I still had access to everywhere. Both DLCs got me to 60 though.

edit: And that was doing every side quest/mining, although I stayed in the Mako for kills during my first playthrough for a while.

Just for clarity: If you killed Ashley instead of Kaidan you are a gigantic faggot.

I killed Ashley on first playthrough to get the Kaidan achievement bonuses for my biotic playthrough like a boss. 10% recharge bonus on lift and throw is worth killin' a religious bitch.

After that I let the headachey little meatbag burn in nuclear fire so I could get jiggy wit' Ashley. I've got one dudeshep soldier bangin' Liara 'cause Ashley's dead, one dudeshep engineer bangin' Ashley, and one femshep adept bangin' Liara because to hell with Kaidan.

Probably going to have Mordin and Tali as permanent characters on my first playthrough. Team Science: to hell with morality! Gonna see if the squadmate and weapon achievements have the same bonuses as they did for ME1. If they do it'll be awesome: return of the shotgun-wielding Adept!

Yeah, I never bothered with the DLC, hit 59 right as I got to the Citadel.

I think that explains why I came up short.
