Some of the dialogue in this game is fucking hilarious. The videogame clerk was especially funny. And I really liked the turian who worked in the weapon store in the citadel.

I'm 10hrs and 51mins in and about to do everyone's loyalty expect Legion, Samara, and Thane.

I've gone out and mined every planet in every system that gets unlocked and upgraded my ship a lot since then. I'm also finding a lot of anomalies, which in turn give sidequets, while scanning planets.

Can supposedly pick 1 of the following...
Armor Piercing Ammo (Additional damage to armor and health)
Barrier (Creates a shield that soaks huge amounts of damage)
Biotic Slam (Biotic Body Slam causing massive damage)
Fortification (Large short term armor boost)
Reave (Damages nervous or synthetic systems to prevent healing. Drains health and gives a temporary health boost (Drain II) Deals double damage to armor and barriers)
Energy Drain (Drains enemy kinetic barriers to boost your own)
Neural Shock (Cripple an organic enemy with pain)
Shredder Ammo (Increases damage to health of organic targets)
There may be more since it seems you earn each one from each squad member you have.

I gave it a few hours on a new game. Gave up because I couldn't stand it not being "MY" universe. Restarted with an imported save, and it feels fucking amazing. Credit to Bioware for figuring how invested people would be in their ME1 playthroughs... the last few hours have pretty much been a succession of fist-pumping slack-jawed awe from me.

What the fuck did I do wrong to Conrad Verner though... I followed the paragon "stay with your family" crap in ME1 but it turns out the stupid son of a bitch is shaking down bars on Ilium and generally being an even more epic tool than he was in the first one. Oy vey.

In other news Avatar is the Mass Effect 2 of movies. If that sounds stupid, it is because it is stupid.

Also about running on top of platforms and shit: It is happening a lot. Had to reload once because I got stuck and it was after a particularly tough battle. Sometimes I get lucky and the game will fade to cutscene.

I just finished my ME1 play through on full paragon, (saved the council.. etc etc) and was wondering if it would be worth it to speed run through the game as an asshole.

Are there any real differences in the story arc if you play as a renegade in 2, without completing the story in 1 as a jerk? People are saying that your asshole decisions in 1 will follow you in 2, but if I don't import a renegade shep will the story be drastically different? I need to know if a full playthrough is actually worth my time, since i'll be picking up ME2 tomorrow night.

I just did both a good and evil play through this week to set myself up for ME2. I have no idea how it will effect ME2, but I hope there will be noticeable differences between the two saves. I was able to finish each character in about 10 hours. That includes most of the side quests too. Acting the ass hole is so much more fun, but I always end up feeling bad at the end of the game.

Edit: The sex scenes linked earlier have already been removed by Bioware :/
