why god why 2010, thats forever from now
Somewhere Mizango is smiling.now I want to replay Mass Effect thirty times... today.
I'm purposely not watching any trailers/gameplay videos about this game so I literally spoil nothing for myself, lol.
Gonna be tough to make it to 2010 ;/
I'm trying to take the same stance, but this is getting difficult.
Just don't do it. I already ruined it for myself. Until you watch that trailer, no matter how highly anticipated this game is for you, you just won't understand what I did to myself.
Do we have the technology to freeze ourselves for extended periods of time yet?
yes, but the unfreezing hasn't quite been perfected D:
Well, I suppose if I'm frozen for any longer than 2010 I won't necessarily know it, and unless I'm finally unfrozen during the apocalypse or something, my 360 will still be there.![]()
FUCK. YES.
I only played through it once because I have a serious problem finishing RPGs and I was surprised and felt so fucking accomplished that I tried to wave the streak and play another RPG. That was a few months ago, and just two days ago I finally got to the second disc of Lost Odyssey lol... so it hasn't worked out well.
But Mass Effect, for what it's worth (not much since I don't usually finish RPGs), was the best gaming experience I've had in quite a long time. I guess the only good thing about it coming out in 2010 is that it'll give me a while to replay it a few times, since it only took me about a week's worth of playing for a couple hours at a time to finish it. I'd like to try to get to 60 before ME2, think I left off at 45 or so? Get to 60 with my "main" Shepard, then try out different classes. Forgot the names of them, but I played as a gun/biotic hybrid, tons of fun. I'd like to play as a good guy too, but being evil/a dick is too much fun.
Yeah my Paragon is complete fail, I am level 64 atm though. I love the whole physics aspect that they are implementing in ME2, I mean that is awesome. I capped my Lift and throw in the first on and used them continuously but I had a BLAST using the biotics AI Hacking, Damping and Overload as well. What's sad is I know the entire layout of the Citadel and the Prothean temple by heart, simply from playing so much.
I am currently playing it is super l33t pwn expert mode and its such a challenge even with full Spectre gear for my entire group. Currently rolling with Wrex and Tali this time around, since I've maxed out my others characters. Like you said though, my one Achilles heel is being good. I cant resist killing the council, Father Kyle and Cerberus group long enough to not go back to renegade mode lol.
Edit: Oh and dont give me the "OMG UR SPOLING IT!11" because if you hadn't beaten it by now then that's on you.
I was actually trying to be good until I got to the Father Kyle mission, then he just annoyed the fuck out of me and I chose to kill him and didn't look back from there. And yeah, the physics thing is what really got me excited for ME2. It's funny how the simplest, smallest things can get you the most pumped up, but the fact that people actually react to being shot now is pretty awesome.
Oh, and
Spoiler: show
Exactly, Father Kyle and his band of loonies have a weird way of ruining for you lol.
As far as the conversation interrupt and taking action I think they will do it right. I have a feeling that you'd have to have your renegade fairly high to go ape shit on someone and push them out of a window. I have a hard time believing that someone of high Paragon status would have the option to readily do that so I'm sure they have some mechanics behind that.
The physics thing has be stoked to, it give much more wiggle room for biotics it seems. The first ME kind of put that on the back burner, which most of you noticed if you ran with all soldiers and was unable to recover artifacts, decrypt average to hard storage lockers, hack computers etc... I love the fact that you have to work with it and actually incorporate it into your repertoire this time around.
The video was awesome, but between what was revealed at E3 and then in this video, I think they've given away a bit too much.
Regardless, I'm extremely excited for this. I played through ME 4 full times, and about half of another playthrough, and of course the DLC. I even read the first book, and I have the second. I hope the new DLC is announced and comes out soon!
Anyone ever hear of Huxley? It was supposed to be an MMO shooter.
Couldn't ME be modeled into an MMO too? Third-person shooter type of thing...
BAN!!1!1!!11!!1!~!
I'm not so sure how a MMO based on Mass Effect would end up. Seems like an amazing idea but what would the end-game be like, would it be canon to the single player games, set in the future where Shepard is (most likely) a hero and everyone wants to follow in his footsteps, etc.? Also would multiple answers to dialogues be allowed? Usually in MMOs or regular RPGs, if you pick the wrong answer the NPCs are like "NOPE, TRY AGAIN DUMBASS, PICK THE RIGHT ANSWER" and I think that's something about Mass Effect that would need to be preserved.
Maybe my own bitterness is making me doubt a Mass Effect game would work out, but my love for Mass Effect itself would make me play it.
So I just got Bring Down the Sky, should I wait and so what and when they other DLC is, or should I just play it now (don't want to start two new games if I can help it)
There is not going to be anymore DLC this is going to be the only one. It was worth it for the armor when I played through it.
