Oh, one other thing I found really strange was how in ME1 when Ashley mentions her belief in God, the game makes it seem like at least amongst humans that entering the galactic stage caused religion to be swept aside since she is worried that Shephard will discriminate against her based off of it. Yet in this game, everyone including Shephard is constantly dropping G-bombs. And while I got used to the whole disposable heatsink/weapons have advanced so substantially in 2 years the old heatsinks didnt work nonsense, the fact that certain parts of the game wherein you encounter shit that should predate the new weaponry like one of the loyalty missions, the people there still have heatsink guns was weird to me.

I just finished my first play through and thanks to all the advice here on the forums I was able to get through with everyone alive :D. I loved this installment of the Mass Effect universe.
One minor complaint I have is that it seems like some of my more minor decisions wern't carried over from my ME1 save correctly. Conrad, for example, seems to think I shoved a gun in his face, but I know for a fact my paragon Shepard never took that route. Also the Sita foundation is shutting down because apparently all their workers were killed during the biotic fanatics attack, even though I saved all the workers.
Now that I finished my paragon from ME1, it's time to import my renegade and be a bad ass :D. I'm having a hard time deciding what class to choose this time around though. I did adept again for my paragon Shepard and that was fun. It was like The Force Unleashed with guns. Maybe engy or infiltrator to try some of the tech powers.
Anyone else beating the game with more than half the dialogues feeling incomplete? Jacob and Grunt are giving me the "everything is perfect" message, but everyone else gives the same message they have been giving since day 1.
i like the bro-ish manhug that jacob gives you when you exhaust all his dialogue options
If you continue to play after finishing the mission can you and jacob go get shitty at the Citadel and try to bang bitches?
that brohug was definitely what solidified jacob's place in my heart alongside jack/mordin for new characters.
Anyways you would have to be more specific BRP cause after prodding after loyalty quests all the people I really talked to(everyone but Legion cause he joined too late) before going onto endgame seemed to be saying everythings dandy or in Mordin's case that if I don't stop bothering him he'll fuck up his experiment and kill everyone on board...
edit: Also I had some romancin questions

I love how open Bioware is about their projects. For the most part anyway. I know it took them forever to announce KotOR: MMO but other than that they're not like other developers and are like "lol it's secret" (Mostly JP developers some Western as well) I love that they interact with their fans on the forums and discuss future projects so openly. It's been known pretty much since day one that ME is gonna be a trilogy, but the way they talk about the future of this series and other is nice to hear. Other developers really need to learn from Bioware. They've been my favorite developer and many others for this very reason aside from making fantastic games.
Someone confirming such dialogue endings exist for other characters would be appreciative. I imagine I need to go non-romance/neutral for the females(playing male), but for males I have no idea.
speaking of dialogues and whatnot, did anyone else feel some of the roles voiced by "bigger name" actors/actresses felt a little skimpy? I'm talking specifically about Capt. Bailey (Michael Hogan), Kal'Reegar (Adam Baldwin), Admiral Shal'Raan (Shohreh Aghdashloo). Most of them have only a few conversations each, which seems odd I guess, although I'm guessing most of them will probably play bigger roles in ME3. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Kal'Reegar is recruitable.
Also, did anyone else catch Claudia Black as the other female Quarian Admiral?
I think I got recognition from everyone but Grunt and Jack. Everyone else has something to say if it was the right or wrong thing to do. This was with the paragon ending. With the renegade ending, I only got them from about half the squad members. I'm going through the game now again as full renegade, if I find anything different, I'll post, but that won't be for a couple days.
I am not talking about their reaction to the ending, talking about their personal chats.
Oh, in that case... I got a couple of them to advance, but not much at all. I think to progress you might need quests open to finish and then talk to them. Sometimes I'd do one N7 mission on a random planet and get dialogue for them. Other times it seems story related. Mordin advanced, as did Legion (once, wouldn't do anything after even though there is more to tell) and some others had acted like themselves before I beat the game. It's pretty weird.
This playthrough I'm purposely leaving a bunch of quests open for after the game ends. I also find it funny once you have your initial dialogue with Anderson, he has nothing new to say, even after beating the game. Other big characters for that matter as well.
A lot of stuff felt skimpy to me in this game, the voice cameos not the least of it. Captain Bailey I felt had decent enough participation (2 loyalty quests as well as your initial interactions on the citadel when you're still 'dead'). As to Kal'Reegar, I was more disappointed by him not being the least bit funny when he always manages to bring the laughs to his tough guy onscreen roles. I expected that Shoreh Aghdashloo would have a small role but I honestly wish we saw more of hte flotilla. The way they described it in Ascension sounded amazing and HUEG/cramped/rundown and yet this didnt seem to be that decrepit. And I could totally see Kal'Reegar as being part of Shephard recruiting a real army from every group in the galaxy for 3 lol.
All of the hub worlds and such were so much smaller and felt more like the planets in KOTOR(including the new Citadel lol) and did not reach the scale of Citadel/Feros/Noveria in 1 imo. Although I did like the redesigned ward layout, I would've been down with seeing more of the Presidium. Also, considering that Omega is the Citadel of the Terminus Systems and is also a former Prothean city I was expecting something a little more grandiose than essentially a dirtier version of the Wards from ME1.
