My explorer/completionist instinct always leads me to talk to the consort and eventually him before getting enough time to raise me paragon/renegade high enough to get him to stop spreading lies about the consort, and if you fail when you first talk to him you can't go back and auto-fail the quest.

I just played ME through for the first time. I didn't really do any of the side quests you guys talked about in this thread so I'm gonna go back and try it out. For whoever said you couldn't make a good looking female Shepard, I thought mine looked pretty hot.

Ugh, I found it IMPOSSIBLE to make a hot female Shepard. I must have tried for over an hour. It really is fun to do a lot of the side quests. There are quite a few and it extends the life of the game by a good amount of hours. I really cannot wait for the ME2 to come out.

I have beaten the game in a variety of ways, this way when the 2nd game comes out, I can see all the different options. They must have done a done of work for all the different outcomes you can have.

If you really enjoyed ME, you'll enjoy the two novels that they put out. One is a prequel to the game, and it tells Anderson's tale of when him and Saren were teamed up, and how that factory got destroyed on the mission. The second book takes place after the game and involves a character that will supposedly be in the second game according to Bioware. Both are fun reads, much like the Halo novels.

Also, did you guys hear that you get an entirely new team in this game? A lot of people were making a stink about it on Kotaku. I for one, welcome this. I don't want the same characters through 3+ games. You know their stories from the first one. Need to keep things fresh. I mean it's Bioware, all of their characters whether you like them or hate them are written very well.

since they can die at the end and your save data is supposed to affect the new game

they probably decided to make them have cameos instead depending on how your game went. Since they made good characters the first time I'm sure they can do it again.

Yeah, this is the much talked about DLC that has been forever in development. They first mentioned something back in June, but then it hasn't been heard from since. With the achievements on Live, it shouldn't be long before we see the DLC.

I'll take ANYTHING at this point, the gaming drought is killing me. Though Batman and FF: Dissidia are both out this week, so that's some relief. Last good game I remember worth buying was.. inFamous I think back in mid June. Since then, nothing

If you have the platinum hits version of Bring Down the Sky, Pinnacle Station won't show up at all. If BDtS is uninstalled, then Pinnacle Station shows up, but it'll say your character needs BDtS to play. So far, the only way to get around this is to buy BDtS from the marketplace, or wait for Bioware to fix it.
