I used slightly over 100 bronze bullets, so it didn't cost nearly 32k. I went to Vunkerl Inlet [S] as COR/DNC and tanked mobs for a 65ish DRK in my LS who leveled via too many East Ronfaure [S] parties and had a lot of Scythe leveling to do. In returned, he opened level 2 SCs for me; I closed with Split shot. Really didn't take long at all, cost almost nothing, and with Drain Samba 2 and Sigil Bonuses, pretty much any job can snooze through those crabs. DNC and SAM rolls didn't hurt.
If I didn't have cures as a "mage mode" COR, I'd constantly be looking for things to dump my MP into in order to keep my Uggy latent active. Even shameless curehawking doesn't always cut it.And I'm not sure if this is heresy or not, but /RDM might be more useful than /BLM. It's like 4 MAB difference or something and you get Stoneskin and can toss a few Cures if need be.
Sorry for the derail continuation; needs more people talking about which mythics are the least useless to upgrade and why.
Finally someone to do the tests i wanted to do. Took long enough.
BUT... JESUS CHRIST... I had alot of tolerance for things in FFXI but giving MNK only 1 chance for an AM3 doubleattack is seriously fucked. What the fuck were they thinking. MNK basically is calculated as fucking dualwield job or something. This is just horrible beyond all believe. Sorry to hear this Alma. This fact also makes PUP Mythic look worse now as it won´t be any different most likely.
Better I add more fucks after....
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK you !
So basically what we are looking at with your data and Jackyls is:
200% TP = +20 ATT
250% TP = +40 Att
299% TP = +59/60 ATT
Breaking it down further:
200% TP = +20 ATT
225% TP = +30 ATT
250% TP = +40 ATT
275% TP = +50 ATT
299% TP = +59/60 ATT
0.4 Attack bonus for every 1 TP over 200% starting at +20 at 200%
Being that there are different levels of aftermath, to be honest, the numbers should have been a static bonus. If you are already deep into Lv2 Aftermath territory to get a larger ATT bonus, doesn't it seem kind of pointless to just build up attack when you can just hold out the extra TP to get the double attack?
SE could have designed these weapons to be the way we all thought them to be; that is all of the aftermath bonuses were bundled together. If they were too concerned about keeping the weapons from being stronger than RoTZ relics, they could have simply scaled back the bonus such as where Lv1 Aftermath gave 5% Attack/Acc/Double attack, Lv2 Gave 10% and Lv3 gave 15%. Even if these mythics started to compete with RoTZ relics, they could go back and buff up the RoTZ relics like they said they might do.
thanks for the testing Alma!~
Geez, so Glanzfaust is basically like a +25% Double attack with AM3 then? That just seems... wrong.
Thanks for the tests and the hard work.
I've never even considered this before, but with all that's been presented, I really wouldn't blame you. 50% proc rate or no, not procing on both hits isn't just horseshit, the fact that Faith & DA do proves it was obviously intentional. How much fear of success do you have to have to pre-nerf what's supposed to be one of the most powerful weapons in the game? If it overwrites all forms of DA, it's even shittier than than my very worst case scenario.
lolfaust or glanzfail?
Glanzfail. Rolls off the tongue better and if you said lolfaust, people could think you were speaking of the sky NM. :/
Glanzfail.
Sounds better.
Single handed mythics probably do the same when dual wielded.
With 25% activation only they cannot beat destroyers/Hades Sainti(+1) during lvl3 aftermath, but they will beat it if you tp at 100% with ...asuran fists... Did you notice anything with footwork ? If it works with footwork, maybe getting 300 tp is pretty quick, and did Ascetic's fury get any boost ?
Kenkonken is different in my opinion, as Stringing pummel is the best WS already. Tping at 100% is good already and you'll get a good WS+ good aftermath unlike mnk. This and enhance martial arts probably makes the weapon equal/better to shenlong dps wise. Kenkonken enhances a job trait 100% active.
wow. after reading this... im a tad scared for pup. seeing as they have no other relic weap, but how close are those PW weap to Glanzfail?
Yeah, lack of awesome alternatives (aside from Shenlols) makes PUP Mythic actually significantly good.
but fucking lol at the one DA/Round for MNK. That's amazing.
Don't forget that the AM applies to the automaton as well. DA might suck for the PUP but it's probably more than balanced out by the automaton adding in all those extra attacks.
But come on, you're going to have a giant ass gun. Who wouldn't want to have a big ass rocketlauncher looking gun?
This is pretty much what I believe. Since PUP is already going to be using Stringing Pummel due to it being the best WS for the job, then there is no reason that they cannot keep aftermath up, whereas other jobs like MNK might only use their Mythic when certain situations arise. Kenkonken is a weapon that PUP can fulltime simply because it offers bonuses that other weapons cannot offer though Shenlongs DPS beats Kenkonken without Lv2/3 Aftermath (See below).
Aftermath also extends to the automation so they will gain an Acc from Lv1. With Lv3, both the auto and the PUP are double attacking so that's a huge bonus. The one thing about the weapon I don't like is that it doesn't give magic bonuses to the mage auto in addition to melee bonuses (Magic Acc/Att would've been nice for Lv1/Lv2 respectively).
As far as DPS is concerned of Kenkonken vs Shenlongs
Assuming PUP has Faith Torque and h2h Merits (248 )
Martial Arts III (360 Delay)
All Calculations exclude Automaton
248 x 0.11 + 3 = 30 (Base h2h Dmg)
Kenkonken
DMG:+17 Delay:+49
Enhances Martial Arts (-20 Delay)
Final Delay = +29
30+17 = 47
47 x 60 = 2820
2820 / (360 +29) = 7.24 DPS per fist
7.24 x 2 =
14.48 DPS per attack round
Assuming Lv3 Aftermath is 25% DA then the DPS is 18.1
Shenlong's Baghnakhs
DMG:+21 Delay:+51
Double Attack +1%
30+21 = 51
51 x 60 = 3060
3060 / (360 + 51) = 7.44 DPS per fist
7.44 x 2 =
14.88 DPS per attack round
1% double attack boosts it 15.02 DPS
So pretty much Shenlong's beats Kenkonken in DPS by around 3%, but under Lv3 Aftermath (Assuming 25% DA per attack round), Kenkonken beats Shenlong's by ~21%. Even under these circumstances Kenkonken offers bonuses that help the job (Overload Surpression) as well as extending aftermath effects to the automaton.
