Quick PS3 Question

I'm taking my PS3 over to my friends house for Rockband fun, but they only have a standard definition TV. Will the PS3 auto configure itself from 1080i (my tv) to the standard resolution with the composite cables they provide, or will I have to do some fancy reconfiguring before I head over there?

I remember my PS3 auto-detecting that I was using HDMI cables and setting itself to the appropriate resolution.

If it doesn't do that then look under like video settings or something, should take like 5 seconds. Standard definition is 480i.

Unless it was updated in a firm-ware update then going from HD to SD it wont auto-correct.

However when you turn it on, just hold down the power button till you hear another loud beep and it will set itself to SD.

This. Though I think I had to do it twice one time. Might have just not held it long enough.

i always just hold it till it cycles through and powers down, then power it back up
