If you can keep PW on the tanks, /RDM would be just fine -- and maybe RDM/WAR might be a decent "puller" for the BLM alliance to blast down the lamps. Phalanx and Defender on top of having Stoneskin up and Genbu shield could really cut down a lot of damage. Should only need to hold it for just a few seconds while BLMs get off AoE spells -- as long as they stay grouped nicely..

Then again, I could just be speaking out of my butt.

Well our next attempt isn't too far away perhaps i will do what okan suggested and instead Stream it minutes before pop.


Since then i am thinking about doing this,

- First and foremost i'm gonna clear zone before we pop, perhaps even ask a few bst to help keep BLM area clean.

- I had a BLU/PLD for lamps but he used the Athinic Burst AoE thing instead of damaging spell
i'm Changing lamp puller to a PLD/RDM or PLD/BLU? suggestions?

- Changing Thunder Nukes on gear to Bliz III >.>. Couldnt believe blm were only doin 30 dmg. but as it was said i should of known Gear's were strong to thunder and weak to ice.


- at 00:56 in the Video you can see i AoE stunned with my scholar, im going to be using that as Backup pulling thing. They all came for me which is what i will do next time if lamps are not pulled fast enough.

- I had multiple distractions during fight so outside and inside linkshell so im prolly gonna go /away. And limit LS talk to Relevant discussion only, That Katrinka person was fucking arguing with our tanks while Warden is destroying everyone. Im going to avoid people like that.

Eventually when we did get the lamps down everything went alot better, so im going to focus on the best way to get lamps to BLM party to kill them ASAP.

Since that was 1st we have to be ready for 9 others forms then eventually the final which is a shitload harder.

/WAR and /RDM Are not the best option for your Main Tanks, Simply because farther in when you get to Cerberus/Khimaira, they will eat those tanks alive. It's Possible to yea PLD/WAR on chariot forms, Then Interchange Tanks as forms change but /WAR for entire thing is bad.

The other thread was locked, so I'm posting this here because I'm sure that some people would like to see this video. Someone from uStream marketing actually contacted me during the stream and encouraged me to do more of them (Apparently the first Pandemonium Warden stream was the most top viewed uStream video while it was going.) I enjoyed doing it even though the outcome wasn't ideal, it would be interesting to see more people record their mega boss fights and upload them somewhere. Thanks again to Blazed and his linkshell for allowing me to do this.

Only allow party leaders on vent to speak so they can report status of their groups, mute everyone else. Don't limit it to just yourself talking (I think this is what you said you were going to do last fight?). Only enable people to speak you know won't go spouting stupid interrupting comments mid-fight.

Again, don't make it obvious you're going to do PW until moments before or then you'll have groups of people showing up... As silly as it sounds "Firsts" are a pretty big thing in these games (At least to the game population -- no one outside of the game cares) and since you're going for a world second kill (At least known to us second), a lot of ZNM guilds might just try to piss in your cheerios just so you don't steal their 15 minutes of fame.

Couple of problems with it. Namely, you're advertising "Come grief us if you don't like us" and two, it does seem a bit like a dick move... Like you're indirectly telling people "We're better than you because we're fighting PW and you're not"

I agree with Okan, drawing a crowd and putting up the most feeble attempt I have ever seen is the ultimate pie in the face. Then again I know you Blazed and know you are proud and like showmanship, but that was a bad move on you guys part. I just recently stopped laughing at Saturday night attempt.

We've fought PW a few times and we get much closer each time but I wouldn't quite step up on that mountain top and announce to the world we are trying it. If you notice Apathy only told everyone after they killed it. Many of us found it hilarious because many have us have fought it but only you guys were so brash and cocky about it.

Looking strictly at the thread here and that Alla post you guys seriously underestimated this behemoth and were ready to put on a "how to" clinic on PW 101 without ever fighting it. I keep hearing you all talk about how easy PW is and how you took him from 90% to 2% in a matter of minutes? I don't really need to go any further than that...

As far as you and I go, there is no hard feelings at all man. Not one bit, but I do get a kick out of seeing arrogance getting kicked around, I have to admit. Play it low man and keep it on the DL, there's plenty of time to gloat after you win. I wish you and your shell the best of luck getting past his first form next time.

If you're going to use a horde of BLM to kill the lamps, then use a PLD/DRK + RDM to pull them. Sentinel + Phalanx II, along with all of the other defensive perks of PLD, is pretty good damage mitigation. Poisonga > Sentinel > Souleater + Cuve IV + Last Resort will put you at about half of capped hate.

Also, Miz I can see your point about how embarrassing it might have been, but honestly who is going to learn anything (besides yourself) if you don't inform people of your attempts. It definitely wasn't even close to a win, but I'm certain that other linkshells probably won't take it so lightly in the future because of this.

This had nothing to do with showmanship, i didn't think it would turn out to be so bad. THE MAIN REASON i did this was to have people view and formulate there own opinions/strategies in real time. Reading about PW is one thing, Watching a video of it is another but knowing its being fought as you watch it is a entirely different experience and thats what i wanted to do. Yes it backfired, perhaps because i took so long to pop it, But you know what its a learning experience. This had NOTHING to do with me, it was a lnkshell decision to stream it not my own.

No one was being Cocky about anything the closest thing i said was i think were ready for pw a day before. i did not say "Oh we gonna murder pw" or "this thing is no challenge" because you simply cannot say that the first time you pop anything. You keep hearing me say what? you failed to realize the point of that statement i made.

When i said "Once lamps were out of the way, We took him down to 2% from 90% very easily i wasn't bragging about my DD's or the Power of HoD, i was simply stating that PW's chariot forms are very weak comparing his defense and his low HP. In ballista yes i am a cocky son of a bitch because i fucking love competition and if i do the best i will Brag because it makes people want to to get better and challenge you.

Outside of ballista i am a respectful person, I don't brag about my gear or shit i do because theres always someone who does it better than you. i play smart and think outside the box i like leading things because its in my blood, the success of this shell prior to PW i am very proud of because basically what i did was take a bunch of People and made them into a team. Most people cannot do that or don't have the patience for it. When i did the only PW fight we did was simple.

Main Ally, PLD/NIN X2, WHMX2 RDM BRD, other 2 PT make DD's pt

Lamp Ally, Had 1 PLD/WHM in it rest was only BLM (with RDM and BRd for refresh) and 1 or 2 SCH/DRK

Outside we had 1-2 PLD/NIN waiting in case we need in main ally and 1-2 PLD/WHM for lamps in case, and w/e we had over.

We had 1-2 BST to pull the slimes + elemental and kill or depop them (forgot)

our goal was simple, when lamp pop PLd go in Diaga them and run them to BLM for aga shit.

sometimes we lost some BLM but otherwise it went fine.

as for Tank PT in PW ally well they tank like normal.

If im not mistaken that will equal a shitload of hate, and will make that PLD hold hate on Gears Even with with 18+ BLM Blizzaga III on them.

You most definitely want to Sentinel first, as it caps your enmity at +100.
