The iPhone doesn't get old, because you get some other application for it that gives it some new functionality, usually for free.
well my bday isn't until mid march but my bf can get an iphone for 100$ this week on a sale, so I have to think fast. ><;
Kinda leaning towards the gamepad, cause like I said I probably won't pay extra a month for internets.
I'm under the impression that in order to access the apps and all the great stuff that makes an iPhone more than just a phone requires an internet package. Unless you shit money monthly to afford it plus other costs (for me, I can't), then an iPhone is great [EDIT: Yes, you need the internet package, but if you can hack it, that's your risk]
AT&T charges an extra 30 bucks a month to use the 3G network (it's a pretty basic price for most companies it seems). Top that with the 79-99$ monthly plan as well as another 20$ for unlimited texting (or 15 for 1500 messages). You look at 129-149$ a month for your iPhone. These prices came from individual plans.
Of course for those with disposable incomes, I'm sure it's fine. For others, and for someone that will be coming out of college paying off loans, I don't think it's a wise choice for an HQ phone.
Gaming pad looks cool, and you said you love it, so I say get it!
Final Edit: March bdays ftw, btw
Do they even make the older iPhone anymore? I have that one and it's only about $85/month. I got the cheapest plan (59.99 or something with 1k additional texts for another 10 dollars) and even compared to my old phone bill that was like $50/month, the amount of shit I have on the phone with applications/music/movies, it's fucking Godly. You'll eventually get sick of whatever game it is you play I'm sure, and then you'll just have a gamepad for a game you dont even play, how useful is that?
tl;dr iPhone
theres someway to hack tmobile using the iphone.. all you get is the basic tzone thing for like 5 bucks a month and somehow u hack it to have the internet service... friend at work had it no clue how to do it tho![]()
Well it's not the iPhone that determines how much you pay a month, it's the plan you get. You got a very basic one with very low minutes. I simply put up an average plan that most people get (a lot of minutes or unlimited seems to be the norm).
I used to pay about 45 bucks a month, and that was the cheapest plan I could get from Verizon. Since bills started stacking because my friends thought it was cooler to text (therefor jacking up my bills higher than intended) I bit and bought an unlimited text plan which further increased my monthly plan to about 70 bucks a month. With internet I'd be looking at over 90.
Plus I assumed because she's a girl she spent 70% of her free time talking on a phone. My bias is just.
well I actually don't talk on the phone TOO much, not like normal girls at any rate. and the gamepad is for any game, you macro it in so even if I got bored of war there'd always be an mmo I could use it for.
on the other hand I've never gotten myself a nice phone. I always went with the "free" phone on my upgrades, so the iphone would be a nice treat for once.
I guess I should see how much I'd have to pay for interwebs for tmobile to see if it's worth it.
the iphone will not help in your ability to snipe bitches, kill dwarves, or slaughter zombies properly
the gameboard will.
I thought the iphone was a neat toy, but nothing more than a toy. I use a razr and accomplish everything I need to on a phone, otherwise I just use my computer for internet surfing. I think if you get an iphone itll be neat but just end up costing you extra money per month.
(if you need a nice smart phone get a blackberry)
The iphone. I actually use all the other function such as maps, restaurants locator, weather report, web browser, etc more than I use it as a phone.
If you wanna to a kickass mouse for fps, get a logitech G5. it's 2000dpi, incredible sensitivity, durable (I have had mine for 4 years), and crowned as one of the best gaming mice around.
What Sono said. I have a Belkin n52te and it's amazing for games. Hell you already know how awesome the game pad is since your BF has one. A pad like that is a must-have for MMOs like Warhammer, where you've got 32948230489 different abilities to fire off. Get the game pad, you won't regret it.
Yes, I have the Belkin n52te. It is made of win and awesome. I couldn't play WAR or games like it without it.
HTC FUZE! RIGHT THE HELL NOW!
I would go for the Game pad if your absolutely sure you won't at some point want the extra services for Iphone.
Iphone is great, but you buy an Iphone for everything else it can do outside of being a cell phone lol
