March Game Release Discussion!

Yeah but the Suikoden game is supposed to be more like a Suikoden "themed" game. That doesn't make me excited.

Halo Wars, even though the name is a huge franchise, probably won't be a huge hit. A lot of the Halo fans are strictly FPS players, and I think a lot of them will be turned off by an RTS style Halo.

I for one will definitely be getting Halo Wars seeing as I am an avid RTS fan. The demo was great, and I look forward to on-line co-op play.

I saw X-play's review of Halo Wars last night. The gameplay is SUPER simplified, like, there aren't tech trees or anything. It's basically a RTS built for the FPS fans.

There are tech trees, but not in the traditional sense. You need multiple reactors to acquire the advanced tech. Because of the limited space you can build on, you will often have to decide what you want to build and what you don't want (or take over another base position).

It does not cater at all to FPS fans, otherwise there would be FPS units. All it does is offer a new way of playing an RTS game. I just hope that most of the new generation gamers (the ones that grew up on GTA and other FPS games) won't be playing Halo Wars so I don't have to hear them bitch and moan (mute I know).

RE5 onry. I thought the demo was awesome, in co-op anyway. Sheva is a total tool in single player and seems like she is trying to get eaten. She should be optional.

Would like to give Madworld a try.

So many games coming out for DS in March, I don't even know where to begin. I got a DS for christmas and am looking forward to start getting some games for it as my family begins to get bored of the Brain Ages and starts leaving the DS to me. Want to try Suikoden: Tierkreis, and for sure get Pokemon: Platinum as I haven't played a Pokemon game since Sapphire and Ruby. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume looks nice, but Final Fantasy Tactics: A2 is already on my soon to get list. FF Crystal Chronicles: Echos of Time depends on the ease of access to the multiplayer.

Black Sigil looks like it should have been a GBA game. Story definitely seems a little dull from the trailer anyway like it's trying to be an FF game but just can't quite make up its mind. Sprite animations are almost exactly chrono trigger style.

Son of a bitch! Crystal Chronicals has that gay "must have a DS for multiplayer" crap again. You can't even have co-op just on the wii, you MUST have at least 1 DS and 1 DS game copy AND 1 Wii w/copy for multiplayer. screw that.

Avalon Code and Black Sigil both look interesting. Black Sigil especially so, but I have a hard-on for 16-bit RPG graphics. Hopefully the gameplay is good enough to hold up once the nostalgia wears off.

And of course, I'll be getting Suikoden. If it's good, I might even buy a copy, just to support the series. Maybe.
