Hello, I am a JP player on Ramuh, and I wanted to explain to NA and EU players on Ramuh, on some of the commotion starting in JP community on Ramuh.
Some of players on Ramuh may have noticed some unnatural activities on Ramuh server these past few days, with many shouts done by low level bald Galkas in Jeuno, White Gate, and other town areas.
I came here to explain about the reason behind this movement.
(Facts)
1) It all happened when a JP player named Areliano (Hume Male, F4 face) formed a one-time Salvage raid party to Arrapago Remnants on Feb. 18th, 2009 (JST). He set the lot rule that he will take all of the Alexadrite from the raid. The other PT members requested salvage equipment parts respectivly, and a WHM requested for the Macha's Coat, which is a crucial part in making the Morrigan's Robe.
2) We all know how low a drop rate, these equipments are, but on this raid, single Macha's Coat dropped. From the lot rule set by the leader (Areliano), the drop should be gotten by the WHM. So, the other PT members passed on the lot, and the WHM lotted. The leader (Areliano) withheld the passing or lotting until the WHM lotted, since it was ordinary for the leader to pass last, to avoid any miss lots and/or ripping off the lot by another PT member who wasn't supposed to lot.
3) The problem occued when the leader (Areliano), who also wanted the Macha's Coat (but didn't designate it in the beginning that he will lot also), seeing that the WHM's lot roll was low, suddenly lotted for the coat, and won the lot. He did not do this by accident, since before lotting, he sent a tell to the WHM, saying that even though the WHM had the sole right to the Macha's Coat, he wanted it also, and told her if he can lot, and he will give away all the rights to the Alexandrite to the WHM. The WHM naturally said no, but Areliano lotted any way, stating to other PT members that he will divide all the Alexandrite drops to each of the PT members, so please forgive him for the sudden lot to the Macha's Coat.
4) The WHM suddenly ripped off from the Macha's Coat that should have been rightly hers, held back her feelings, and stayed with the PT until they finished the boss.
After they came out from the Salvage, leader Areliano tried to split the Alexandrite to each of the PT members, but they all forfetied that right, and the PT broke off.
5) Areliano, then sent a tell to a friend stating that finally he got the Macha's Coat drop, even though he got it by ripping off what should have been a loot for the WHM. The friend tried to explain to Areliano, that what he did was a "crime" so to speak, a fraud case, an item gotten by despising all of the PT members, and the drop should be retured to WHM immediately.
6) Areliano stated that, since the Macha's Coat is an EX item, it cannot be traded, and what's done is done. He stated that it might have been tough luck for the WHM, but it can't be undone. He stated why are you upset, since he didn't rip off from you, but from WHM, a person who the friend doesn't know.
7) The friend said, that is not the point. What you did is a fraud, and a "crime". If you are not sorry for what you have done, She would have to call the GM, and also state this case on a JP FF11 bbs (like this one) and tell all the Ramuh users to becareful of Areliano, and his raid shouts, since he may commit a fraud.
8) Since Areliano was hopless, she reported this to the major FF11 board. The JP FF11 community uproared, since at the present lotting system, there is no way for the players to guard them selves from an fraud act commited by the PT leader.
9) In JP FF11 playing community, whenever this kind of uproar arises, the user tends to start a "demo" by bald Galkas, to tell other users of dangerous players like Areliano.
10) On other servers as well, many started to make GM calls stating that in a case like this, the item should be ripped from Areliano, or a person who commited the crime, and returned to the rightly owner, in this case, the WHM.
11) The GM's reply was, that since this was still in loot box, and the fact was that this item was never in actual possession of the WHM, it can not be returned to the WHM, since it will mean that it will be trading EX item from one player to another, no matter what the reason was. If this case was indeed a fraud, the player may be banned and/or the item (Macha's coat) be stripped from the person who committed it, but it cannot be passed to the rightful owner (WHM).
12) This reply by the GM sent a commotion within JP community, since it meant that the PT members had no way what so ever of defending him/herself in a situation where the PT leader wanted to commit a fraud act.
(The content of the movement in JP Community)
So, since the GM's seemed that they cannot act on their present GM policy, the JP FF11 playing community on the internet boards started following movement:
a) Make a noise loud enough, so that this Areliano character be banned from FF11 forever.
b) Send a message to other servers, so that if Areliano jumps to another server, people can know what he has done on Ramuh.
c) Send a message to Square-Enix, to change their GM policy, so that in a case where "crime" is involved, the item can be returned to the rightful owner, even if it is EX item.
So, if you see many low level Galkas in White Gate, it is for this purpose, and they all will have name starting with Areliano, or something similar. What they are shouting is a Japanese message stating a,b,c and the URL of a website that has the specifics of this "crime", including evidence logs, etc.
For many of NA and EU players on Ramuh, this may not concern you, but I posted this to explain what the commotion was about in JP community, and also to send a warning about the JP player "Areliano", so that no NA or EU player may get involved in a similar case.
Also, for players reading this who is on other servers, please becareful since he may jump to other server, since no JP will probably PT with him on Ramuh, and most of other servers, now that what he has done is widely known in JP community.
