    Commodore Frac

So I was skimming the wiki and noticed that someone entered that the Frac does allow two abilities to reset with RD. I saw tests when it first came out (and have done my own) and never heard of anyone successfully resetting two abilities at once. Anyone heard more about this or have a screenshot showing this is possible? I still macro it in but I figured it was probably just increasing my success rate by something retarded like 1%.

I never really noticed myself. I just kind of took the ffxiclopedia's word as law about it. I just macro it in whenever I use it.

Kind of hard to test since Random Deal is on a 20 minute timer.

Not that hard... sit in Selbina at the moogle and pop two JAs, RD, change job, repeat. I tried like 20 times and never got two abilities reset.

Maybe it just makes Random Deal 100%. Would be funny. Because that would make Loaded Deck comeplely worthless. <_<

i thought it was demonstrated here first that it gave a roll at 2 abilities being restored at an exceedingly low chance. i know our initial assumption was that it just functioned like loaded deck allowing people to dump their merits, but iirc we disproved that fairly early. don't quote me on it, though, it was buried deeper in some thread i don't remember than the arc of the covenant.

There was a post here on BG with tests and screenshots ... I don't have it handy, but search for it and you'll probably find it.

I tried search but didn't see anything, and I certainly didn't see it when/if it was first posted. Lemme try a diff search approach.

OK I found it buried in a Tricorne testing thread >.> I've still never seen it reset two JAs and I've had it since the day after the update lol. Can delete/lock this thread if need be.

I think it was determined that Frac allowed a SJ ability to be reset instead of just main job, or maybe it was along w/ main ability, I can't recall exactly.

I don't recall Random Deal ever refreshing a merit ability before the frac, either.

I noticed it reset "Snake Eye" the other day during Dynamis, was rather impressed but who knows.

It's always been able to restore merit JAs. There seems to be a priority to Phantom Roll reset with Random Deal though which is incredibly lame. I try to fire it off when Snake Eye and Fold are both down only so I make sure it restores one of them. :D

For me, it often seems to prioritize the JA with the least time remaining (jerks), which of course is often Phantom Roll rather than something I actually want. So if Fold and Snake Eye are both down, I wait until everything else is back up, if I can let that happen. Easier to do at, say, Proto-Ultima than in merits.
