RNG stuff, couple questions.

I've had a few people say that you should macro in Hunter's Socks +1 for Barrage because you need all the ranged accuracy you can get; however, eyeballing it I didn't seem to notice any varying discrepancies between using Scout's(which is what I use now) and Hunter's. Should I keep Scouts, or is Hunter's noticeably better in the long run and not eyeballed?

Kyudogi is lame, plain and simple, save it for the Sams who think subbing ranger is a cool thing to do.

Ranger is like the last job that really wears an Osode anymore, it's still pretty damn nice for us.

SAM/RNG can wear Osode too.

Not that there's much reason to actually sub RNG, but no reason for a SAM to wear a Kyudogi either.

And as for that other bit, I'd beg to differ. Thread in this very forum makes a compelling case for Osode as pretty-much-always-use-this WS gear for SAM.

Hmmm, maybe I've been doing it wrong? I've always heard you stack RACC over everything else and stack STR/RATT where you can't get it elsewhere. Right now my Barrage setup is:

Vulcans | Axe+1 | Vulcan's | Kabura
O-Hat | Qiqirn Collar | Triumph | Vision Earring
Osode | Seriyu's | Behe +1 | Behe +1
Amemet+1 | Precise | Relic | Scout's

Should I be stacking more RATT and STR or should I stick with what I have? (6 merits in Archery for what it's worth.)

no thats how it is, feet is just a niche spot since theirs very few r.acc feet(akniji, pahluwahan, bowmans, skadi), and most of them are like 2/3r.acc with no other rng related stats. u got it right, maxing acc on barrage is def the way to, it was just not until toau were there any options available for the slot, personally i don't use vision earring, bear in mind ive an extra 20r.acc from by bow tho, so dont take how i doit to heart, your build will vary

edit @ kyudogi lulz, i suppose if i had hq kyudogi, i would use it for barraging on sam/rng(something i almost never play), as for ws, osode, but thats the best use for kyudogi i can come up with lol

Ebow/Vbow has been discussed, and based on your free time I would recommend just camping it. He's fairly easy to solo with a 75 job; like Matix said, motivating yourself to go up there is the hard part, other than that you kill and afk for 15min.

Dusk are good for Barrage, but that's all I'd get them for. Relic have been very kind to me with Barrage so far.

As for stuff you didn't have listed:
I would definitely pick up Palhuwan Seraweels. They're one of the best free pieces for RNG you can get in my opinion. Can't tell if you have a second Behemoth Ring+1 for Barrage, but I'd pick that up. Maybe try to pick up Seiryu (if you're in a sky group) or sit at the ??? and offer to buy them.

Last thing I would mention is Hunter's Beret +1 for TP and maybe Hunter's Jerkin +1 for Barrage, although I'm still torn on this piece of gear since I'm not sure if it's possible for too much ranged accuracy.

Well sure its possible to have TOO much ranged acc, but its all based on what your fighting. Your going to want to stack as much as possible for your evasive gods, but your not going to take that same setup to a BC or merit

But even with all that said, a rule of thumb I always used for rng is, its better to have too much rng acc then not enough

Basically just carry around a acc only gear loadout on you, and mix and match as you see fit per mob

well its a lotto pop, it can pop in 16min if ure lucky, it can also take 6 hours if ure unlucky, but since its a lotto its never gonna pop if no ones kills the PH, and (atleast on my server) almost no one camps it(or at least no one did camp it when i did, and even afterward i directed several ls members that they should get a vbow, now almost everyone in my ls has a vbow :3) so ES was basically easy pickin, i went 1/6, w/o any TH so, strongly encourage to camp it for those who want it~ GL to anyone after it

Kind of a two step question. With V.Shot and capped snapshot merits this puts you at a 25% increased shooting rate, which would be similar to the 25% haste rate that caps for melee. With Zha'Go's barbut can you exceed the 25% shooting rate, or does it cap at 25% like haste gear does for normal melee? And if you can exceed the 25% how much does the Barbut add?

pretty sure they stack(barbut+jring too), but you wont find out an absolute answer without someone fraps'ing

I have a somewhat related, "will this be too gimp to live" question.

As my sig says, COR is 75. I'm pretty happy with my 75s, and don't even want to have more, because it's in my nature to get all kinds of gear for even the ones I'll almost never use, and...I'm out of room. So I basically only want to level RNG until I can kill Maat with it. Sorry, nothing against the job, but I get my r.atk fun from COR just fine.

That said, Archery is around 120. RNG is 50, and got there from 37 in East Ronfaure [S] parties. Would it be bad to use gun from 50-66? I don't think I want to camp V.bow if RNG is going in the closet, and I don't generally have the gil to buy and resell E.bow. I did get a Francisca, and my AF; I don't really want to gimp any job, because I don't think it's fun to play then, but that bow is a bit much for my situation. If I were to use gun, should I use my Shark Gun at 60?

a gun like musketeer gun +1/+2 would probably do great, gun is nice cause u get endgame ammo at 50, tho i still recommend the vali's if possible~!

Meh, I'll ask my question in here too. I recently got RNG to 75 (so no merits) and bought an E.Bow to see what all the jazz was about and went on to help someone with a Tenzen fight. I was going as RNG/WAR used a coeurl sub and was getting SV minuets. Yet I didn't even break 1k >_> I mean, I know I'm not meritted and my gear is still gimpish but I thought I would break 1k at least especially since I read on the wiki that SAM/RNG would do around 1.2k with spamwinder. I don't think Tenzen was getting any debuffs though (no Dia or Angon).

My understanding is he's a lottery pop with a 16-32 hour window. So 16hrs after his death is the earliest he can pop. Personally I went 1/3 on E.Bow, claimed 3 days straight and he always popped by the 18hr mark for me, I was never up there more then 2hrs trying to get him to pop.

Edit: That's 1/3 with only having TH2 on the second kill.

E shadow is a lotto pop after 16 hr only and has a horrendous drop rate. Went 0/12 in a row and just decided to get S bow.
