Farclip

So I started playing recently and while I'm enjoying the game a ton, I can not stand the low drawdistance after playing FFXI with 20 dd. I've used the /console farclip 1600 thing and turned on /console farclipoverride 1, but it barely made any difference, and it seems to be the cap. Is there by any chance a plugin or anything that will help increase it?

Probably a limit to not kill someones pc... considering in FFXI you can maybe see... the distance of maybe in wow yards 4000-5000. Since ffxi doesn't have anything that moves really fast the zones are pretty small.

Having 1600 makes wow use nearly 1GB ram, I'd be afraid to see what 2000, 3000 etc would go at.

Well gotta consider system/windows (XP) uses about 500, vista uses over 1gb, and the cpu power/memory from other apps, then wow using over 1GB (alone with nothing going on farclip)

That and video card memory!

it was soorta lagging me down to 40-50fps with 1600 range, especially looking around area's with massive fog ;/
