Movie was pretty good. But like people said before, the CGI was horrid. It's like they spent all their cash on the actors. When I heard it before I didn't think it would be as noticeable as it was.
Also,

Cgi was worse than this scene of black dynamite where he sets the fiendish Dr. Wu on fire.
So I saw Star Wars last night, there was a little less CG than last time, but the quality was actually a lot worse... OH WAIT...
Should we start a fund so they can redo this movie on DVD? Maybe use CG that wasn't borrowed from...

The people I went with didn't seem to mind or notice. I seriously can't look past that, at all.
CG was bad like I said before however if you're not someone like "OMG ONE ASPECT OF THIS MOVIE SUCKS THE ENTIRE THING IS BAD" then you'll enjoy it.
Movie has too much plot imo. I didn't care about Mickey Rourke at all (he had like 4 useless scenes out of 5 scenes) and the black guy and wrestler were totally useless. Only reason Jason Statham's plot was good was the basketball scene. If you had cut all the useless side story, you probably could have gotten another 20 minutes of random action and terrible CGI.
I went in expecting 80s action stars doing 80s action things and wasn't disappointed.
Well, other than the fact that Van Damme turned down the offer to be in the movie.
I just read an article that said Sly called all the people we were wishing were in this movie... He tried JCVD, Segal, and chuck norris. Snipes had a legitimate reason for saying no, but the others are idiots.

At this year's Comic-Con, Stallone addressed the casting offers, including two other high-profile no-shows that were not meant to be. His take differs slightly: "I talked to Van Damme. I talked to [Steven] Segal. I even talked to Chuck Norris." He then added, "But there are certain considerations, like insanity."
That's news to me.
Van Damme was offered the role of Dolph Lundgren's part I heard, but he didn't want that and would of preferred a larger role and that's why he turned it down.
Saw the movie yesterday, I have the same impression as everyone else, they had to have spent all of their money on actors because the CG was god awful. I still loved the movie, everyone in the theater came out wearing flannel shirts and grew beards.
Man, I loved this movie. I went in expecting it to be a throw back to the 80's and it was, and really the only scene in which I said the CGI was bad, was

Anyone else think the sub-par effects were intentional? It's not like they were top tier in the 80s and 90s after all.
Either way, my wife and I watched this on Friday night and we both loved it. Lucked out by marrying someone that actually wanted to see this almost as much as I did instead of some chick flick like EPL.
this movie wsa fucking geat and i didnt mind the bad CGI at all
