Honestly, I think it turned out for the best since Crews was freakin awesome in this film. Snipes and 50 wouldn't have come close to being how fantastic Crews was on screen. The guy wasn't even acting either, he was just being himself, and that's what made it so badass.

Hell, I don't think any of em were really acting, I think they just ad-libbed 90% of the movie. This is what action movies should be, one liners, explosions, over the top action and just enough story to explain why everything is going down. I really don't think anyone in this film was bad, everyone delivered on exactly what was expected of them and then some.

And yes, Dolph was the god damn man. Crazy freakin russians ftmfw.

Movie was pretty good. But like people said before, the CGI was horrid. It's like they spent all their cash on the actors. When I heard it before I didn't think it would be as noticeable as it was.

So I saw Star Wars last night, there was a little less CG than last time, but the quality was actually a lot worse... OH WAIT...

Should we start a fund so they can redo this movie on DVD? Maybe use CG that wasn't borrowed from...

I thought the premise was perfect, the story was fine, the action in execution was great but fuck that shitty ass CG. His "super-fast" handgun firing wasn't even keeping keeping up with the sound. All the knives aside from the ones at the end were f'n fake. They used MAYBE a single blood packet on this movie; everything else? CG of course. The opening scene when Dulph blasts that guy, had me going "Oh no, please don't continue down this path".

The people I went with didn't seem to mind or notice. I seriously can't look past that, at all.

CG was bad like I said before however if you're not someone like "OMG ONE ASPECT OF THIS MOVIE SUCKS THE ENTIRE THING IS BAD" then you'll enjoy it.

Movie has too much plot imo. I didn't care about Mickey Rourke at all (he had like 4 useless scenes out of 5 scenes) and the black guy and wrestler were totally useless. Only reason Jason Statham's plot was good was the basketball scene. If you had cut all the useless side story, you probably could have gotten another 20 minutes of random action and terrible CGI.

I just read an article that said Sly called all the people we were wishing were in this movie... He tried JCVD, Segal, and chuck norris. Snipes had a legitimate reason for saying no, but the others are idiots.

Nah, that would be Eat Pray Love. I saw that movie with the GF last night (double feature, Scott Pilgrim then EPL) and that is arguably the top contender for "suck the manhood out of your boyfriend" in theatres today.

Thankfully, next weekend we'll go see Expendables.
