The story:
Last night in the wee hours of the morning, my sister's baby-daddy was over her house (by her invitation I'm assuming). He was drunk and soon passed out. As I said, my sister is by no means a model citizen. After he passed out, she went through his phone and apparently discovered something that she didn't like. Keep in mind that this guy is married, long married, with several other kids. None the less, my sister woke him up from his alcohol induced slumber in her apartment and pushed him. He then proceeded to slam her head into a wall. My sister went and grabbed her baby and tried to leave. He then choked her hard enough to leave marks that Chris Brown would brag about. She said that she could not breathe at all...and she was holding the baby the whole time. The police were called and no charges were filed since she would have went to jail as well as him for pushing him first. Cops took pictures of her injuries (and his ripped shirt from her fighting back), noone went to jail, and my sister is staying with my mom. Oh, did I mention that the guy's wife does the booking for the jail? It has recently come to light that this isn't the first time that he's hit her. At this point I really don't know what the police can do, if anything, since she started it...however, he clearly escalated the situation. He's done this before, and she hadn't told anyone. So, BG, what's an older brother to do? I know the right thing to do is nothing, let the police handle it...I also know what I really really want to do...
