WWBGD? BG's not so legal advice....

    The setup:
My sister has a 16 month old baby with a married man. My sister is by no means an angel. This man has a history of drug possession, drug trafficking, alcohol problems, and obvious infedility. Just on overall peice of complete shit that none of my family has ever liked.

    The story:
Last night in the wee hours of the morning, my sister's baby-daddy was over her house (by her invitation I'm assuming). He was drunk and soon passed out. As I said, my sister is by no means a model citizen. After he passed out, she went through his phone and apparently discovered something that she didn't like. Keep in mind that this guy is married, long married, with several other kids. None the less, my sister woke him up from his alcohol induced slumber in her apartment and pushed him. He then proceeded to slam her head into a wall. My sister went and grabbed her baby and tried to leave. He then choked her hard enough to leave marks that Chris Brown would brag about. She said that she could not breathe at all...and she was holding the baby the whole time. The police were called and no charges were filed since she would have went to jail as well as him for pushing him first. Cops took pictures of her injuries (and his ripped shirt from her fighting back), noone went to jail, and my sister is staying with my mom. Oh, did I mention that the guy's wife does the booking for the jail? It has recently come to light that this isn't the first time that he's hit her. At this point I really don't know what the police can do, if anything, since she started it...however, he clearly escalated the situation. He's done this before, and she hadn't told anyone. So, BG, what's an older brother to do? I know the right thing to do is nothing, let the police handle it...I also know what I really really want to do...

First thing you should do is make an attempt to get your sister to stop associating with, and thus emulating pieces of shit.

Though, I'm sure you've tried that already. Some people are going to be classless garbage no matter what.

Just like Melchiah said, she has got to stop all associating with him aside from some sort of child support. It's his kid too so he should be some part financially responsible. That is really about it. Since she initiated this "attack", there probably isn't too much that can be done in courts, so just have her end it.

If he stays away from your sister, let cops handle it. He comes within 10 feet of your sister, you handle it.

If it was just as easy as telling her to stop messing with him, this would have been over with years ago. My sister is a dumbass to put it softly. There's nothing we can do to stop her from mingling with the guy, the dude's wife doesn't care at all. Everyone has told her to stop being around him, stop fucking with (and fucking) him, and stay the fuck away. As I said, my sister is no model citizen, she doesn't care what we tell her to do and not to do. She's practically the definition of a "welfare queen". I'd almost never defend my sister in any of the decisions she makes and we don't always get along...this is just a whole different animal though. As much as my sister can be a stupid bitch, this shit just shouldn't happen.

Your sister is retarded and likes getting into situations she can't control and fights she can't finish. Her baby daddy is an alcoholic abusive asshole. (AAA?)

I would abandon them both, since you just can't reach some people. If she hasn't left him already, she never will. Despite the man obviously having a physical advantage, it was a two way fight. Your sister is in the wrong just as much as he is. Since she will not stop associating with him, your most realistic solution is to stop associating with both of them yourself.

If you tried and she's still doing it, let her be. She'll have to put herself in to a situation where she realizes it's just not worth it anymore.

I'd largely agree with this if he simply pushed her back or tossed her down. If that had happened, I probably wouldn't have that much of a problem, it's the fact he choked her, slammed her head into a wall, and even more of the fact he did it while she was holding my nephew. But yes, I realize that she was in the wrong, she is quite stupid. I just don't think she was in the wrong anywhere near as bad as he was. I just don't think the two offenses hold the same weight. Maybe legally, yes, but as I said, I'm aware of the legal ramifications (or lack thereof).

just because someone has a few of the same genes as you, doesn't mean you are forever bound to be their loyal servant. learn to cut people out of your life that don't do you any good...family or not. if there is someone in my life that doesn't have a positive impact on me in any way and is just a negative influence or source of drama, i just don't associate with them anymore. period. sometimes you just have to cut people lose.

that being said, if you still feel the need to associate with her and thereby defend her...for the right price i handle security issues. PM me for details.

Honestly I couldn't begin to imagine how bad it is dealing with her, but my best solution is using Bobby to convince him not to mess with her anymore. I know how she is, so you pretty much have to deal with the other side if you want to get anything done in that situation. Is that Mailbox btw? I can't remember if that's who his dad was or not

How old is your sister, out of curiosity? I would think that there's a big difference between a 20-year old doing this (she'll grow out of it, but still needs some guidance) and a 30-year old (lost cause).

this better be because you have a law degree, because you certainly arent putting BG in some sort of legal trouble by saying you will cause bodily harm to them and admitting it, are you.

It was Myron...Mailbox is the daddy of Dacey. My cousin's kid.

And my sister turned 24 today oddly enough.
