how did you manage SS like that?
how did you manage SS like that?
EWH
Heres two vids i made awhile back lol.
YouTube - FFXI Walk of Echoes : arena
YouTube - Walk Of Echoes
Also on page one thats a soccer field in the Fort.
EWH viewer?
if so all you need to do is change your navigating character to be the NPC of your choice.. and he chose Lady Lilith..
when i saw the arena setup.. this came to mind
YouTube - Final Fantasy VIII Ultimecia (part1)
its different of course, but the 2 level structure comes to mind... but also because Lilith really looks like Ultimecia.. (its funny too, cos Lehko looks like Squall.. especially with the jacket and belts)
i never really noticed the pit/moat area.. but im not sure if they'll make if functional either.. or just make it so u cant fall in..
if it were a pit of doom, i guess the boss would be really cheap with a super knockback move ala Empty Seed lol...
Since we're on the topic of Walk of Echoes anyway.. there seems to be a function use of Atomos' giant maw in it, where somehow Lady Lilith appears from there...
i got bored so i rewatched the CS for the last leg of missions that was so conveniently available online. YouTube - FFXI WotG Mission 15 "Crossroads of Time"
i really can't wait for the continuation of the mission story cos i want to know more about Lilith and Atomos.. but sadly it wont be till the folllowing update...
WOTG storyline has really got me hooked lol.
oh yeah heres a creepy graphic from the zone itself lol.

lol
me too..
hmmm
from morts vid, it seems the area is alot larger than i remember. and the island are closer than i remember too..
seems like 4 paths is mroe likely then.. it could really be anything lol.. i wish SE would just surprise me.. sooner.
Einherjar isn't instanced. I'd guess that's part of the reason for the extremely short time span of the event. True instanced areas are only able to be conditionally entered. In Hazhalm you walk right into it like all normal zones. The way it looks right now it could go either way, there's a reasonable chance Echos will be instanced.
My only concern is what their new "gimmick" will be. I'm tired of being nerfed. Limbus, and to an extent, Nyzul were a welcome break from gimmicky nerfing. I hope they come up with something fun.
Needs more oldschool damage floor panels. Walk in a certain area and you start losing 50hp/tick.
well its used somewhere in the zone lol.
Not quite sure where though lol.
probably backprop for certain areas. I'm sure theres an aura or something to give it an enhanced effect since it looks poorly done default.
Those are definitely the portals in fort Karugo-Narugo (on the side lines).
My guess is it will be a place to bet on sports teams while you watch npc's participate.
Bringing you all the fail of chocobo racing to another wasted zone.
That actually isn't a horrible idea, if you take away the last part.
All of the events we have now are ones where we, as players, can pick the jobs that we want and take them to the event. It would be interesting to have an event where players don't have the ability to prepare the group setup before the event. All of the current events give you a way to get yourself back to normal, but why not have an event where we have to play by someone else's rules (Lady Lilith, for example).
Upon entering the zone, your party/alliance have all their equipment stripped. All equipment in your inventory becomes temporarily unavailable. Everyone in the party/alliance is assigned a random level 75 main job with a random 37 subjob from a pool for that job (eg a PLD may be subbing WAR, NIN, or RDM). The player is then granted equipment for that job, in temporary form (I can't remember if there's a cap on temp items, but I know it's higher than 16). Maybe the equipment could give larger stat bonuses than normal equipment or grant the players with special abilities. Player's with 5000HP instead of 1500, Black Mages that could cast Meteor or Ultima, and etc (IE things that would break the game if added normally).
While a random job wouldn't be very disorienting for those of us who have leveled many jobs, the addition of different abilities/spells might be enough to make the event interesting rather than a rehash of everything else.
i actually liked the idea of leveling up through the battlefield..
like.. you get capped to Lv20 at first.. then progressively if you clear certain requirements your Lv cap will raise to 30, 40, 50, 60 and finally uncap. Would work with Level Sync now that u wont be naked and all.. also tests job progression dynamics...
but think of all the rebuffing u'd have to do each time it recaps.. ugh...
Ok Walk of Echos is damn near crazy...
There are fountains and waterfalls that just end like the ones in sky where the water falls off the island and down to Vanadiel (I presume thats what is going on). But in Walk of Echos, there is no water.... it's BLOOD <--- No Joke
So yeah, Blood Fountains and Waterfalls of Blood... Very Very creepy zone...
If you want pictures I can make it happen, but i'll put them in spoiler tags
more pix plz
ya lets see this odd zone lol.
I thought the expansion missions were creepy-awesome enough already, withbut rivers of blood sounds even better. Pictures, please!Spoiler: show
