Yeah no. KA's rage timer is 20 minutes, not 15. Five months of continuous camping, I can attest to this. It was merely a fluke that two Watergas did 700+

Go MNK/WAR with an NPC, and you'll be fine. I saw some JP MNK solo it that way before. Also, I've tried as MNK/NIN solo...I just don't think it would work. At least not without a ton of meds. But yeah, gl!

Going by those screenshots it definitely wasn't raging. He would not have missed that often, nor would his hits have been for so low. It's gonna just be freaky lack of resist people were saying before.

Uh. Waterga II doesn't 'hit' for 100-200. It resists for that much. You got unlucky and didn't resist a few so you exploded. It didn't rage it was just an unlucky fight.

MNK/DNC would probably be able to solo it with no problems. You can dispel Scissor Guard and cure yourself if you get unlucky Watergas like those ones.

I'd recommend Bibiki Seashell on fulltime, since you'll be capped on acc anyway.

/dnc get dispel? if so big whoosh on my part considering I have the job 75. If u mean boxstep, I'm pretty certain the steps won't overwrite defense boost as an acid bolt would.

A friend of me told me once that nin/dnc could overwrite KA's scissor guard. I'm camping KA with him right at this moment, and he just said he doesn't remember saying that xD

Even if Defense Down doesn't cancel Scissor Guard, you gain 0 offensive abilities /nin, and with /dnc you get no shadows but gain cures, erase (str down), evasion down for him and evasion bonus for you.

Just TP in full haste gear, and Faith h2h if you have a milion stones. It shouldn't be a problem tbh.

I'm fairly positive that Box Step dispels Defense TP moves.

It doesn't. It's its own classification. It's not with Defense Bonus/Defense down. Its simply box step, and has its own icon.

KA definetly rages before or at 20 mins. I've seen it plenty of times. It seems like 12-13 is the first phase of rage, and 17-18 is when it's full blown raged.

When I camped KA it was mostly me solo, tri-boxing. WHM for Haste, BRD for songs, and I came as a melee. Messed around /w DRK/SAM, SAM/WAR, and MNK/WAR. MNK is by far the easiest due to counterstance. I always won before the 10 minute mark, /w little healing needed.

As long as you're fast /w finale, making full use of your SP (SV Songs, then JA them) you should win with little to no problem. It could be done duo w/o the WHM for haste, but you'd be cutting it a bit closer to rage.

Our experiences differ greatly. He still hit me for garbage until I dragged him into the upper 20's, and this was in mostly DD gear on RDM/WAR.

You just got unresisted is all, you never usually notice it cause he's such a low level you're almost always resisting.

I've personally seen MNK/DNC(no Usukane), BST/THF(Carrie only), PLD/RDM, and NIN/DNC(Kikoku) solo it anywhere from 15-18 minutes. I've personally never raged a KA, but have seen plenty, it starts to rage at 20minutes into the fight, takes about 3-5 more minutes to completely own face.

Saw a PLD/WAR(Aegis) try to solo once, raged it and killed the PLD in 3 hits from full HP, a few minutes after it raged.

Again, as for the unraged, big WatergaIV's was just a lucky unresist on a single target.


As far as /DNC and dispel is concerned, I have no idea, I've got /DNC37 but don't use it as my NIN is retired and I don't ever campaign lol.
